I assume that their movie division is separate from their TV division and TV would survive , although canceling popular series doesn't help....
Cinemark, a rival theater group, has said that it can turn a profit even if attendance is as low as 10%. After all, outside of the weekend, occupancy levels in its theaters range from 20% to 30%.
I can believe this. I go to a Cinemark theater 90+% of the time and there is rarely more than 20-30 people in the auditorium for the specific movie I'm watching , and probably the same numbers in the other auditoriums (24) .
