Paris gets out of jail....

I just don't get it. They made such a big deal out of this and how she would not serve less than 23 days, and now she gets out because she mentally can't handle it?????? I don't get it......

But the judge who sentenced her is dragging her back into court in the morning so we shall see..........

I'm listening to the radio and they are saying that the TV helicopters are following the police car as they go to / from her house to bring her back and it rivals the OJ scenario ! I won't be watching....

Now they're saying that the tabloids were offering $ 1 million for a paparazzi pic of her in the cell. Didn't happen, but if she goes back in don't think that someone won't try...

In the meantime, American society has ground to a halt as "we" breathlessly watch this drama unfold. I was hoping to watch the news tonight, guess there's no reason to now...SG-1 comes on at local news time so that will give me an "out" ....whew !

Craig was telling me he heard that Paris' mom paid the sheriff a lot of money for his campaign....I don't know if that's why she got out...last I heard she is going to some other facility now because they are afraid she will do bodily harm to herself. Paris...honey.... If you "take yourself out" you can't spend the money....

You could dole out some of it to the poor and hungry...and homeless...you got a dog so give it to the animal shelters...just think about it...

But....we know that won't happen because if you'd been thinking in the first place...you wouldn't be making a orange fashion statement now would you?

Now I'm hearing she is going back to jail....guess she PO'd the judge by being two hours late for the court appearance that she was told she could "phone into"????

I do believe jail is her best punshiment...I don't think they could have fined her enough for it to hurt in the wallet!!!!

couldn't agree with you more Jojo. Here in LA, this was the lead story
on all of the news programs...including video of her being transported
to court by the sheriff (and the mob scene outside her home), what
happened in court, statements by all of the lawyers and a statement by
Sheriff Baca. Of course there were also stand-ups by 2 or 3 reporters
at different locations and an introduction and closing by one of the
anchors. All-in-all they probably dedicated the first 4 minutes of the
newscasts to this "important news story" At least they didn't banner it as "BREAKING NEWS"

They always say that any publicity, good or bad, it a good thing. But I seriously doubt Paris will ever be able to get any respect from the general public. She certainly is not getting any sympathy.

Well I am glad that they didn't let her get out of her sentence but, as my husband keeps saying, it's too bad they don't have her doing community service or something worthwhile instead of sitting in a cell! Of course she probably will end up spending her time in a hospital room, the delicate thing that she is!!!

come on it is 23 DAYS for god's sake that would be like a vacation for me no cooking no cleaning ( unless that is what you have to do in prison? If so I guess that I have plenty of experience !!)

Not like she has a job that it will cause and inconvenience.

Between Paris in jail and the series finale of The Sopranos last night, America is teetering dangerously close to media armageddon...or is it apocalypse? I always get those confused...
