'Big Brother 14' Spoilers: Was the Power of Veto Used in Week 5?
John Kubicek

Senior Writer, BuddyTV

For the past three weeks, the Power of Veto has been used to cause some major damage on Big Brother 14. Last week Janelle was backdoored, and the week before that, Frank was backdoored with the intention of evicting him. Did the trend continue this week?

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.

Frank won the Power of Veto. He did NOT use it.

This might not be too shocking, but there was a last-minute scramble to potentially use the Power of Veto.

Late Sunday night Wil and Ashley talked to Frank to try and get him to use the Power of Veto to backdoor Dan, which would've been a huge move. And given what we've seen of Frank's desire to target him, he seemed quite receptive to the idea.

However, following the talk both Ian and Boogie had extensive talks with Frank to convince him NOT to backdoor Dan. Obviously they have their own motives (Ian is in the Quack Pack while Boogie wants to work with Dan until the end). But their points were valid, namely that it's too early to turn on Dan and it would only put a giant target on Frank's back.

In the end, Frank actually told Dan about Ashley and Wil's plot while Ian immediately told Britney and Danielle. Now is where the fun begins, because Wil and Ashley (and Joe and Jenn) should now realize that Frank and Boogie are working with Dan and his team, because that's the only reason they can see for Frank not going through with this plan.

Hopefully this failed plot to backdoor Dan will create some drama, because this week has been pretty darn boring. The last two weekends saw major fireworks (Wil's drunken birthday party and the formation of the Silent Six), but this weekend was all about playing poker and charades.

Who would you rather go home, Wil or Joe? And remember to tune in Wednesday for the greatest episode of the season as the Zingbot returns (and it sounds like the woman in the Zingbot suit fainted during the PoV competition, which hopefully will be shown).

This is the Zingbot. I had assumed that there was a man inside, not a woman, but its voice is electronically altered so you can't really tell.

Dan The Banana Man
A prank involving a banana suit leads to paranoia on the Live Feeds
Dan The Banana Man

Move over Ian the dog and make room for Dan the Banana.

Sunday on the Big Brother 14 Live Feeds, Dan walks out of the house in a banana costume and people immediately start freaking out. Dan said he found a box with a question mark on it in the storage room and opened it finding the banana costume. He says there was a message telling him to put it on and wear it for a week.

Ian, of course, is overly-exicted and totally bummed he didn’t find the box. Shane throws out an unfitting “touche” (no idea why he and Danielle insist on using that word improperly) but Boogie is acting suspicious. That would be because Boogie brought the suit into the house just to cause paranoia and it took 30-some days for anyone to discover.

His plan worked. Dan put on the suit and ran with the prank, but it was all Boogie who planted it. People were speculating that someone was America’s player and had to wear the suit once a day without getting caught. It was quite funny. But production stepped in and cleared the air. It apparently even led to a house meeting just to dispel the paranoia.
