'Big Brother 15' Spoilers: Jeremy's Red Wine Fight
Monday, July 01, 2013

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

Fans who watch the Big Brother 15 have been eagerly awaiting the first big fight of the season. We've had a few tiny skirmishes, but nothing on par with last season when Willie went off on Frank (remember the Fruit Loops?).

Well, now the Big Fight has arrived, and it's all about red wine. And tepees. It should go without saying that Jeremy is at the center.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 15 spoilers.

Here's how the fight started. Sunday at midnight, the Have-Nots for the week were finally allowed to eat normal food again, so everyone agreed to save their nightly alcohol delivery for them. This is the first time they could drink the beer and wine all week, so it was a kind gesture by everyone.

Well, everyone except Jeremy. He took the lone bottle of red wine and decided to drink it all by himself, sharing some glasses with Aaryn, David and Jessie. A drunken Jeremy then proudly boasted about drinking their wine because he believes people like Andy, Elissa and Helen, who were Have-Nots, have been throwing out his name to target next week.

Once midnight rolled around and Elissa and Helen started asking about where the red wine was, it was on. Jeremy was more than happy to take all the blame and even yelled at the Have-Nots for being inconsiderate to him. Yes, the guy who drank all of their red wine called them inconsiderate. The best part is that no one was really that mad and they didn't want to turn it into something.

The real fireworks happened twice. First, Amanda went outside to yell at Jeremy. But Jeremy just yelled back at her, going on a wonderfully insane rant about his Cherokee roots, saying that he's going to scalp people, build a tepee and spear some buffaloes (with Helen, Elissa and Candice as the buffalos).

He also repeatedly boasted about how he's definitely going to win the next HoH competition (and all of the competitions for the rest of the season), but even the people in his own alliance tried to explain that he's only going to have a 1 in 14 chance, and if it's a True/False quiz, his big, strong muscles won't help at all.

The second part of the fight came when Kaitlin waited patiently to yell at Jeremy, her pseudo boyfriend in the house. She was in the diary room when Jeremy initially took the wine and was angry when she learned about it because he's screwing up her game and their side.

Kaitlin tried to explain to Jeremy that his actions have split the house and now there's a chance David could go home. Obviously she doesn't know that Jeremy is part of the Moving Company, which has already decided that David IS going home. Now David is a little upset because their side thinks the vote is now going to be 6-5 (because they somehow don't realize there are 12 votes and not 11 this week).

The whole thing is positively confusing. This kind of blow-up does absolutely nothing for the Moving Company and seems like an irrational, drunk 23-year-old who doesn't know how to play this game.

In the aftermath, Andy did damage control by talking it through with Jeremy (most likely so he can make the Blonde-tourage side believe he's with them for when the vote goes against David). Kaitlin was furious at Jeremy for screwing up her game and Amanda explained to her side (especially Helen) that this crap doesn't matter because they know the game better than those crazy kids and they also have the numbers.

In the end, Jeremy apologized to Helen, who was crying the whole time. His "apology" was half-assed and he even added that he did it because the people Helen hangs out with (Elissa) are throwing out his name as a target next week. He added that she shouldn't blame people like Aaryn and David for his actions, which ius the kind of meaningless nonsense that will accomplish nothing.

When Helen got to talk, she accepted the apology and she wants to have a good experience and compete, but she doesn't want to waste time on this petty crap. She then tried to explain that despite his intel, neither she nor Andy have thrown out his name as a target.

Basically, Jeremy is talking about the obvious divide between the Blonde-tourage (Jeremy, Kaitlin, Jessie, David, Aaryn, GinaMarie, Nick) and the Mega Alliance (Helen and her group of eight), not realizing that it's supposed to be subtext until Wednesday's live eviction.

Even better, as Jeremy was apologizing, in another room Aaryn and Candice were rehashing their "Candice sat on Aaryn's hat" fight. The Mega Alliance is already solid and unbreakable, but they're even happier now that the other side is imploding on itself.

The saga concluded with most of the Mega Alliance in the HoH room talking about how awful Jeremy and Aaryn are, with Amanda speaking loudly like always about how much she hates Aaryn. And when McCrae told her to use an inside voice because people outside might hear her, she threatened to harpoon him in the face. So it was a fun night all around.

These comments are beginning to attract attention all over the internet...Huffington Post, Zap2it, etc. and I can't think of any of the other BBs and many other reality shows that I watch where such blatant remarks have been made by any of the participants. If it continues production will have to step in more forcefully, it seems they may have already. Meanwhile Aaryn, Gina Marie, and Caitlin are getting really bad reactions from the fans.

Big Brother 15 HGs Continue To Spew More Hate

GinaMarie and Aaryn on Big Brother 15

This is getting beyond belief. Still in its first week of Live Feeds, several of the Big Brother 15 HGs have taken to spewing racial and homophobic slurs like it’s the next Head of Household competition and they don’t want to let their Klan alliance down.

Things took off in a sprint this weekend with Aaryn, Spencer, GinaMarie, and Amanda all taking a turn at the trough of filth. Zap2It offers a thorough review of the offenses from Saturday alone. You’ll find such gems as Aaryn suggesting Helen “shut up and go make rice,” GinaMarie offering to hit Helen in the head to make her eyes straight, Amanda’s “F*ggoty Ann,” and Spencer calling Andy “Kermit the F*g.”

Readers have asked, so I’ll explain. Amanda & Spencer’s comments were made to Andy’s face because they (Spencer & Amanda) thought it was funny and “so over the top.” GinaMarie’s & Aaryn’s comments have been in private, behind Candice’s back in a more intentionally malicious way. You decide if those circumstances make an impact.

Sunday didn’t fare much better despite all our hopes. Mid-day added David to the mix when he declared his bed sheets smelled bad because of “black Candice.” Flashback to 4:40PM BBT 6/30 Cams 1/2 using the Big Brother Live Feeds to hear David make the comment and then laugh saying to Aaryn he’s sure the cameras & mics got that. Yes, David, that’s how it works. Aaryn tells David to be careful, but seems more concerned that he could be heard saying that rather than what he said.

Drive on to 6:25PM BBT to find Aaryn rehashing her dislike of people saying “axed” instead of “asked.” This is a reference to her fight the night before with Candice when she corrected her mid-conversation for saying “axed.” Oh Aaryn is only getting warmed up for the big show later.

Many of us have wondered why Big Brother production isn’t stepping in to demand HGs stop this behavior immediately. It appeared as though that might have happened when Amanda does a production impersonation and says “HGs, do not make racial slurs against other HGs.” Flashback to 7:30PM BBT. BB would have done this off-camera or in the DR, so we can’t confirm, but if they did then it clearly did not take effect.

GM and Aaryn

Just to remind you how clueless and offensive Aaryn & GinaMarie are you can Flashback to 7:44PM BBT 6/30 Cams 1/2 (use the Free Trial if you haven’t signed up yet). GinaMarie and Aaryn discuss how much they want to win MVP. Aaryn searches for a camera and then smiles at the camera real big and asks us (the viewers) to vote for her as MVP. 84 seconds after asking for America’s support GinaMarie says, in reference to discussing HGs against their alliance, “Candice is on the dark side because she’s already dark.” Aaryn smirks and laughs at this while Kaitlin looks away without saying anything. Not to be out done, Aaryn immediately replies “be careful what you say in the dark, you might not be able to see the bitch [Candice].” Neither Kaitlin or GinaMarie even flinch at this comment and immediately start discussing toenail polish.

I don’t even know where to begin. This is two days in a row from Aaryn and GM and they’re not alone. Do they think these sorts of things are okay and rational? How are the cameras and mics not at least a deterrent to at least verbalizing their racist feelings?

So much for Aaryn as America’s little sweetheart and her hopes in last night’s episode to win MVP at least a few times this season. While BB might not be able to remove players for bigotry, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her suddenly become the house’s new target for eviction next week in a move to clean house.

What do you think of all this? Are we and other viewers overreacting? Should we be able to expect some basic level of social civility in the game or is this a “freedom of speech” issue as one of our Facebook readers claimed? Discuss below in the comments.

Update: While there are far too many HGs doing awful things, not all of them are bad. It’s important to note that many of the HGs have not involved themselves in this sort of behavior. Elissa has repeatedly expressed discomfort and being upset with these HGs. McCrae also took Amanda to task last night (Flashback to 10:10PM BBT) for her use of “Faggoty Ann” and Spencer’s “Kermit the Fag” comments, saying it was wrong and should not be said or done. Please don’t think all of these HGs doing the things described above.

Helen remains the most level headed and potential winner among the bunch although she's having a hard time dealing with the remarks she hears about and can't imagine how the parents of those HGs must feel seeing/hearing their kids doing that on national TV

Elissa is also pretty level headed and is trying to "buck up" Helen, telling her that she has a good chance to win, whereas she (Elissa) is doomed to being judged as Rachel's sister. But she comes across as much nicer than Rachel ever did in her seasons.

Ragan Fox was a really good player on BB 13, and I see his point,  but I'm not sure that it would be a good idea for CBS to put out that language on national TV.  Of course they edit the bad words, no one minds that, but to put out the rest of it....I doubt that many CBS viewers would like that.

This is the first I've seen of "hamsters" being used this season.
