Re: Eureka
So that's where I've seen him before... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Looked familiar. Good story lines so far. I like time travel plots. Where is the sheriff's daughter this season ? Did they ship her off to college and write her out ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Eureka
Yes, remember that's what he asks the house robot "Is Zoe still at Yale?" and the girlfriend he didn't know he still had answers "Yes, where else would she be?"

Re: Eureka
I'm trying to find out if Jamie Ray Newman (played Tess Fontana, and was the sheriff's wife or girlfriend in the alternate timeline when he came back from '47 ) has been booted. If she has I will be P.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The episode before last, the sheriff tells her to leave, and her name wasn't in the credits in the last episode, and IMDB is inconclusive....so I'm still investigating.
According to her site she has a "major story arc" on Drop Dead Divas, which I never watch, so maybe she had to leave Eureka because of the conflict ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Good episode this week. I have been rooting for Xane and Jo to get together. This week...a glimmer of hope.

Re: Eureka
To get 6 seasons on SyFy is pretty good, I guess......

The Syfy series “Eureka” is coming to an end after six seasons, Deadline reports.
The network is set to make a deal for the original series to return for a final season of six episodes to wrap up the story. “Eureka” is now airing its fourth season and the cast and crew are currently in production on the 13 episodes comprising its fifth season, with shooting set to wrap next month. The final set of six episodes will reportedly be filmed in October.
The sci-fi series, starring Colin Ferguson and Salli Richardson-Whitfield, is set in the fictional town of Eureka, Ore., a community where brilliant scientists and geniuses reside and work on their latest top-secret inventions.

Re: Eureka
Ah, that's a shame. I like this show. But I guess I can see why it might be hard to keep it going...for one thing the expense must be particularly high...and after you have a robot marry a house, well, where do you go from there?

Re: Eureka
In the latest Syfy news, they have made the painful "business decision" not to give Syfy it's last 6 episodes (that would have been a Season 6) . What they are filming right now will be the end of it.

Re: Eureka
Sad. It's been a good show and I hate that it's over and moreso that the last 6 episodes won't be filmed. You sure can't afford to get attached to any show at this point...but I'll bet at some point I'll netflix the whole series....

Re: Eureka
That's IT,Rusty. You have nailed the situation right on the head.
By the way, we will see new Eureka content that they are filming now (Season 5) that will air later. But that will be all there is.
Still a great idea to pick up the whole series to watch whenever you can, BoardMomma. I do highly recommend it.

At least they will be going out at the top of their game. Toight's episode was very interesting and I'm just loving the Joe/Zane quasi-romance.

Re: Eureka
I'm wondering how they are going to resolve the alternate reality problem...and why is it that all of the relationships seem healthier on this side...how will that work once they get back... :indecision:
:what?: I just spoiled...ack! :what?:
I'll miss the show, but it won't be like other shows that have left me crushed when they were done. So, all and all, a good run...next!

Re: Eureka
That's brilliant Rus. Thanks for posting it. I did see the first season of Eureka and I liked it very much but someone who rules the channel changer evidently didn't. It's the sameway with Warehouse 13. I need my own tv...but it's gonna be on a computer anyway. When I get time...
I hate how we're at the mercy of the networks. Whether they finish it or not...no reason to get attached now. Yes, I miss those Roswell days.....

Re: Eureka
He who rules the changer????
I don't have that problem. Ben is conked out by 9pm. And all the best shows come on after that.

Re: Eureka
Hmmm, maybe one of the other networks will pick it up.
Once upon a time, a show called SG-1 was picked up by a nobody network, and a great many things changed.
Here's to hope.

Re: Eureka
Tonight was the special Eureka "Christmas" episode. I am sure a lot of people (especially fans of comic books and video games) will have really liked it. It was cute and visually cheery. But not really my cup of tea.

Hey ! Another non-fan. I couldn't stick with it long enough to determine how cute and cheery it was.

Oh, sure. Lots of folks like watching all those cartoons they referenced. And they are going out doing exactly what they want. I'll give them credit for that. Just wasn't for me.

Yes, it's on right before Lost Girl which is either a repeat or the premiere of S2 depending on how you interpret the preview... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] So I will be there for Eureka too, although it never grabbed me to a great degree....
