BB 13week 5 day 6

So today was the Have Not comp. and here's what happened. Afterward Jordan had an uncharacteristic meltdown. Right about now, BB time, they are having the nomination ceremony. It will be shown on Sunday. Common wisdom says that Kalia will put Jeff and Rachel on the block. Although the live feeds never show the comps., other than the ones that run late after the CBS show, we will be able to watch the live feeds tonight after the nominations and quickly discover who is on the block.

For the first time on Big Brother 13, a newbie has won the HoH. Kalia is queen, which means for the second straight week, the veteran power couples (now minus Brendon) are on the losing side of the house. And while some things change, others remain the same.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 13 spoilers.

The Have-Nots for the week are Jordan, Jeff and Rachel, and they got Coconuts and Catfish.

The competition involved drinking disgusting milkshakes made from mixing different foods (like chocolate cake and sauerkraut, yum), which might explain why it left some HGs with a foul taste in their mouth, literally and figuratively.

The veterans are still taking a big beating, but it's hard to feel too bad. For the first three weeks in the game, they controlled everything, had absolute power and didn't care what anyone else did. But now that the shoe is on the other foot, they are complaining about how unfair it all is.

Most surprisingly, it's not Rachel who's crying all the time, but rather Jordan. Yes, the sweet southern girl has snapped and is angry with everyone in the house, whining about how mean they are and how she doesn't want to put up with them. Since it was her decision to come back to play the game, I hardly have any sympathy. She also hits my biggest pet peeve when she and Jeff talk about how Daniele is a bad person outside of the house and how Jordan is good. Pointless moral superiority is something I can't stand.

FUN FACT: Kalia makes five straight HoH wins for women this season, which is impressive. In seasons 3, 4, 5, 7, 10 and 11, there were only five female HoHs for the whole game, and there have only been two times where there were more if you don't count dual HoHs.

Big Brother 6 (aka Janelle's season) featured an impressive eight HoH reigns for women, as opposed to just five for the guys, and it also had an all-female final four. In every other season, there has been at least one guy in the final three.

Big Brother 8 (Daniele's original season) had six female HoH reigns, including an impressive run at the center of the season where Daniele and Jessica traded off the title for four straight weeks.

Oh brother...... The live feeds are back and Rachel is b..tching to Jordan about being nominated again...."I'll be nominated every week I'm here....I might as well leave now".....etc. etc.....boo-hoo. Jordan tells her no, that wouldn't look good and then b..tches herself about "no one is playing this game, they're all just laying around"....etc. , etc.....er, other people have been winning the comps. not her. That's called playing the game.

What Rachel fails to point out is that she won't "be nominated every week" because unless she wins POV this week, tomorrow afternoon, to be shown Wednesday, and takes herself off the block she will be going home next Thursday....end of story....or at least that dysfunctional story....

Now Jeff and Rachel are in the kitchen b.tching at each other. Jeff wants to know why "you went up there and stirred things up ?" I know what he means....too much typing to explain it....apologies.....and then Rachel says, "What is she (Dani) going to do if I follow her around ? Punch me ?" They are both laboring under a misconception of how they could come back in the house after being booted. None of the players know the details of how that works, they only know what Julie told them, that it is possible to come back. They don't know that the fans vote on one of the last 4 booted players as of last Thursday, to come back, and they will not be in that group. Their only hope is to win the one on one comp. against that recalled player. The winner does stay. But that's only one, and between Jeff and Rachel Jeff has the best chance of winning against Dominic who appears to be the fan choice to come back.

However here's a "dream scenario" obvious to all fans but that can't happen for reasons as stated above: Rachel gets booted on Sunday. If she were part of the 4 original bootees (she isn't of course) and then Brendon were the one to be voted back in (he won't be, but at least he's eligible) then the "dream scenario" would be for Brendon and Rachel to compete against each other , oh the humanity ! :lol: to see who stays. Would Brendon throw the comp. to insure that Rachel stays, as he did with the POV ? It's unanswerable questions such as these that keeps us going through these troubled times....

But wait ! Last night after going to bed I remembered what I wrote in the above paragraph and realized it was wrong, because if Rachel is booted on Thursday then she will definitely be the one competing against the recalled player. So it is technically possible for her and Brendon to have to compete against each other, but there is only a small chance that Brendon will be the one coming back....but one can dream.... :lol:

Daniele and Kalia are alone in the HOH room (Kalia is HOH) and she breaks down and starts sobbing uncontrollaby. She can't handle the pressure of being HOH and nominating people for eviction. Dani goes over to her: "what's wrong". She comforts her, Kalia is calming down. Dani points out that everyone hits low points in the game. She did in S8. Of course this season she is pretty much immune to petty emotions especially when confronting dysfunctional and emotionally crippled players such as Brendon and Rachel. Kalia is pretty well calmed down now. "I needed that or I would have screamed". She relates how Jeff and Jordan attacked her earlier after the nominations.

Meanwhile down in the kitchen Jeff is telling Adam to "step up" somewhat indirectly, to start playing. He doesn't want to alienate Adam, he'll need him for votes. Adam is defensive, he's been the ultimate floater up to now, and says, "I'm waiting for my chance to make a move".....the problem with this scenario is that he's had plenty of chances in the comps. but is one of the early ones to fail or drop out. He's a likable guy though which is why he hasn't been an eviction target yet. That and the fact that he's never a threat in the comps.




This evening is shaping up as highly entertaining ! and they won't go to bed for another 6-7 hours.....but I will.... :lol:

Shelly is in the HOH room now with Dani and Kalia. She tells how she pulled Rachel away from her confrontations with Dani earlier because she was afraid Rachel may start punching Dani. "There are some real psychopaths in this house", she observes. Dani says "Yes, they always choose players that will be confrontational, that's the whole point of the game". Dani's control and insights infuriate Jeff and Rachel especially. They only make it worse for themselves sympathy-wise.

"Rachel is making everybody a wreck", Shelly says....

Kalia , Shelly, and Dani in the HOH room. They are also laboring under the misconception of how the returning player function will work. Dani thinks that no one is coming back. Shelly thinks it will be a "marquee player", ie, a veteran. Kalia is ready to "take on all comers"..... :lol:

Jordan- i wish I could eat food..don't u? so right after, what happened
rachel- nothing..i followed dani around the kitchen and shelly grabbed me and kalia told dani to go up to her room..shelly said u could get kicked out for intimidating someone and I was like oh please for following someone around smiling?
jordan- well with dan not saying anything she looked like the bigger person

Jeff- if ppl are trying to knock u out knock them out..
he says if he wins hoh he is putting up floaters..he is tired of being the target and other ppl are skating thru..says everyone knows where they stand now..says ppl don't need to pretend with anymore. Says ppl think they are gonna be famous after this..(he is talking fast) he says one persona has balls and is walking all over everyone else and he is tired of it ..no one else has any balls

Shelly leaves-
Adam tells jeff if he wins veto he is taking him off. that he has been honest with him in this game
jeff- says he is being loud and emotional because he wants ppl to see that they will be picked off if they don't do something..he thanks adam but says he really thinks if he goes out he'll come back.
adam says its his game to lose not hers..
jeff says he has to step up too cause he hasn't won anything yet either..giving himself a pep talk

jeff- i'm a 100% game because if u are that good of an actor u need to be on another one of these stages..u can't be fake for that long..he says he isn't perfect he cusses too much gets angry and says things he shouldn't but he can look at himself in the morning..basically says he is not gonna change who he is because of the game. He says he wishes he could make himself happy right now

Lawon takes it a diff. way and says someone has been happy cause evidence is in the other room! LOL
Jeff says he wishes it was him and Adam says as bad a mood Jordan is they know he hasn't been making her happy either

Lawon says ur true personality comes out eventually in this house..compares it to LA
Jeff agrees and said that why he left..he got caught up in it ..

Jeff says he wants ppl to step up and win and play the game..wants to stir ppl up to actually win something..go find that blue marble in 1000 gumballs

Rachel says she's surprised Porsche went up to "them" right away. Jordan says of course she did, she's going to follow everyone else.

R- I just get so mad sometimes.

J- You are on a leash with me. You can't go out a certain amount of feet. I have to guide you so you don't run down somebody. *laughs* I'm just kidding, sorry, that was not funny.

R- No, It's fine. It's true. I'm not trying to flip out on them, I just want Daniele to feel uncomfortable. Like, she thinks she's so f***ing funny, and she's gonna be such a b**ch. She's so arrogant. Of course I'm gonna sit next to her. Let's spice it up. You wanna F***ing spice it up, Daniele, let's spice it up.

Kalia- I am trying.. just trying
Daniele - its ok.. you are doing a good job.. this game is not easy.. I promise.. but you have people here for you.. it's not easy .. trust me.. I hit rock bottom in this house.. not this season .. but my season, I did .. I cried and cried.. said no amount of money was worth this ..but you are a strong person..
Kalia- sometimes I don't feel that way
Daniele- what do you have to prove.. you were up there with me, you killed in this comp, you have nothing to prove. you are proving yourself and you will continue to ... there's 6 weeks left

Kalia-I had to let that out.. I was gonna scream ...

Daniele- this house.. these people.. this game.. she smiles at Kalia.. then says.. we are half way there.. that's huge.. that's big and we still have each other...

Kalia- I know

Daniele- there is gonna be two of them left and one will be Jordan.. that is huge... and I was sitting out there thinking after they did their little thing... I was like omg who are we gonna get out .. I like the rest of these people...
