BB 13 week 8 day 6.....seemed quiet last night...

.....in the house with only 6 people left and all the power players gone. I didn't stay up late enough to see the HOH comp, but my gosh ! Porsche does it again ! She's becoming the power player among the remaining HG's. I had thought of transferring my fandom to her now that Dani's gone... and now it looks like I'm justified. With the newbie advantage now at 4 to 2 it looks very likely that newbies will be in F2. Which two is still too early to predict reliably. Unless Rachel wins more than one POV she will be the next one going. There is no way that she can win more than two votes if/when she goes on the block. It looks like Jordan doesn't care anymore and won't be a factor in the comps. Although the Sturm und Drang has gone out of the house with Dani's departure...

The one wild card is still Shelly. She has proved to be duplicitous and unprincipled in the game several times and could conceivably flip again. (her flip away from her earlier Jeff/Jordan alliance was the main reason that Jeff was evicted last night.) If she sees an advantage for her to rejoin Jordan and Rachel and can convince Adam to come with her, then they would have the advantage over Porsche and Kalia. The hybrid Vet/Newbie alliance thus formed would be rather odd and actually dangerous for the two newbies because it would give Rachel the vote advantage in nominations. If no flipping is done by a week from Sunday then the present alliances will very likely stand.

It was a very busy night on Big Brother 13. On the live double eviction, Daniele was sent home after Shelly flipped to her side, then Kalia stepped up to win HoH for the second time and got Jeff out. The result was an emotionally crippled Jordan and a burst of energy for the newbies as there have now been three veterans evicted in a row. What will the new week hold now that there are only six HGs left?

Porsche is the new HoH!

Holy crap, the girl who couldn't win anything has finally stepped up and won the last two competitions. The newbies are definitely on a roll and I have to imagine that Jordan and Rachel will absolutely be the two nominees, with Rachel being evicted unless she wins the Power of Veto (though Jordan seems to want to be voted out so she can spend the rest of the summer in the jury house with Jeff).

It also puts Porsche into the ranks of people who've won multiple competitions this season, alongside Brendon, Rachel, Jeff, Daniele and Kalia. And she has both an HoH and a PoV win, which only Jeff and Rachel have done this season (and Rachel only did it with Brendon in week 1). It also means Shelly is still the only HG left who hasn't won.

Porsche now has an impressive 20 percent win ratio, having taken 2 of the 10 competitions she's played in. The only current HG ahead of her is Rachel who has three wins out of 13 competitions.

It must suck for the people who don't follow Big Brother 13 online, because out of the seven live Thursday shows, only three of them have included the winner of the following week's HoH, and now four of the past five weeks have had HoH competitions run past the live show.

With the live feeds I can now use the "flashback" function and watch last night's HOH comp.....you could too.... :lol:

Tonight will be the nominations. Porsche said she wants to put up Adam and Rachel in order to "scare" Adam into stop being so wimpish. But with the reality that he is only the pawn and Rachel would be leaving for sure since they have the votes to evict her. Some fans think this is a stupid move, they have a point, because if Jordan should win POV she would take Rachel off forcing Porsche to nominate one of her own alliance as the replacement. That would have to be either Shelly or Kalia. The preferred choice in her mind would be Adam but he's already on the block.

One problem with this scenario is that the probability of Jordan winning POV is slim, although in her live feeds right now she is showing some determination to win, unlike her earlier defeatist attitude.

Most fans believe that Porsche's better move would be to put Jordan and Rachel up. If one of them then wins POV , Adam would be available as the replacement, and they could still evict the survivor between J/R leaving Adam to still be on their side or still having the votes if he flips, which would be unlikely since he would be flipping to the side with fewer votes.

So......we can only wait to see what happens tonight.....

Oh-oh.....looks like Porsche is going with the J/R nomination. A better move IMO.
