Fringe, new season

We finally get some explanation of the Observers. The finale should be very good and I suspect they will wrap up all loose ends as well as save the world of course.

And I get to see plenty of my luncheon companion (Michael Cerveris...September/Donald) ! I'm glad, he is such a nice man and a fine actor.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, friday is the 2 hour Fringe finale. Don't want to miss that!

What time line will they be in if their plan works? They could have Edda back but will they be in the future where they are now or will they go back to the past where they are sending the boy? Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing it but I am sad that it is over.

A good question Rus. I will guess that they go back to this "present" and the alternate universe is closed off forever. That way they are ready if a Dawson's Creek sequel ever comes about.

I'm sure there must be a site that explains the finale in ways that even the densest among us (me) will understand. Right now I'm assuming that Peter, Olivia, and Etta are living happily ever after in the present or some other nearby timeline. If Walter and the kid went to 2167 as planned, how did that happen if the Observers are using that wormhole to ship stuff to/from the 27th Century ? What happened to the alternate universe ?

I guess the "bullet" that they sent through the wormhole caused it to be "rerouted" to 2167. Also it clears up the fact that Olivia caused the vehicles to slam together, killing the Observer.
