....looks like a fairly typical diverse group....There will be a whiner, a bickering couple, the obligatory gay guys, the physical therapists and teachers, I think the Chippendale dancers (a variation on football players) and the double amputee (a variation on the blind or deaf guys) are somewhat unique.

The Beekmans are leaving the farm. CBS has revealed the 11 teams competing in the 21st season of “The Amazing Race.” Among them are Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, the stars of “The Fabulous Beekman Boys;” a double amputee professional snowboarder; a heavy metal rocker; a world champion lumberjack; and two Chippendales dancers.

This season will offer the opportunity for teams to collect the show’s biggest prize ever — $2 illion. The gist for the big pay day is this: if the team that wins the first leg of the season also wins the final leg of the Race, they will double their money and collect $2 million instead of $1 million.

Teams will traverse three continent, nine countries, covering a total of 25,000 miles. Included in the team’s challenges will be a 10-story rappel in Los Angeles; frying an egg on their heads in Indonesia; working as “rat collectors” in Bangladesh; and visiting an infamous Race Roadblock in the Netherlands.
