Michael Clark Duncan....

It's really a shame he died so young. He seemed like a nice guy. He took it all in stride when Craig Ferguson dragged him to Scotland last winter or fall, in spite of being cold from the brutal Scottish weather. I don't think I saw any of his movies except Armageddon but he was good in all his TV roles, in Chuck, and especially as Charlie's neighbor when Jake was dating Michael's teenage daughter and he made it very clear that serious things would happen if he didn't treat her right.

As Hollywood copes with today's loss of Michael Clarke Duncan, some celebrities are already giving their respects for the fallen star, including Tom Hanks.

"I am terribly saddened at the loss of Big Mike," Hanks tells ET. "He was the treasure we all discovered on the set of The Green Mile. He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned."

Duncan's death was clearly felt throughout the twitterverse as well with kind messages from entertainers dominating the micro-blogging site.

That's what my husband said too. Stunned is the word. I loved watching him in anything and everything he did. Even Craig who doesn't pay much attention to Hollywood was very shocked by his passing. Just very sad.....

What a shame! He was a great actor! Was shocked that he was engaged to Omarosa Manigault!!!

Seemed like a very well respected man. I know I will always remember his remarkable performance in "The Green Mile".

Funeral details set for Michael Clarke Duncan

A public viewing will be held for actor Michael Clarke Duncan this weekend and a private funeral service is scheduled for next Monday.

The viewing of Duncan's casket will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery's Hall of Liberty on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., his publicist Joy Fehily told ET. The Academy Award-nominated star of "The Green Mile" passed away at a Los Angeles hospital on Sept. 3 at age 54.

The invitation-only private service to be held Monday will be led by Bishop Charles Blake and the eulogy will be delivered by Dr. H. Beecher Hicks.

The actor's fiancee -- reality star and ordained minister Omarosa O. Manigault -- said Duncan never recovered after being hospitalized from a heat attack suffered July 13.
