Allison Williams on Craig Ferguson

She's the only reason I watch Girls on HBO and that last episode almost made me swear off, but she wasn't in it so I'll hang on.....

Anyway it was interesting to see how she would handle Craig and his tendency to engage female guests in sexual innuendo banter, which he didn't do with her but of course wanted to know about how her top stayed up.



She explained that it had some sort of stiff material running around the top.



She thought it might be something like "whale baleen". This threw Craig for a loop and she asked the audience if anyone knew what whale baleen was ?.....dead silence.



"OMG !"....have I gone organic chemistry on you ?"....she explained it was what whales strained their food through.....everyone still baffled.



He asked her about doing the nude scenes, etc. She said that it wasn't a problem (her scenes are modest compared to Lena Dunham's) and her whole family watches the show , father, grandparents, etc. But she said that sometimes it's bizarre to go home at the end of the day after shooting an episode and thinking that she spent 6 hours with a "naked gentleman" lying on her back (that was about two episodes ago) .





Then Craig decided that she would be good at playing the "awkward pause" game and didn't give her a chance to pick one of the other ones, the quiz prize of $50 in nickles, playing the harmonica, etc.

But she was good at playing "awkward pause".





And she got out with her dignity intact and said she'd be willing to come back again. Of all the female cast on that show she gets about 99 % of the talk show appearances....a good thing .
