Scifi Press release-Upcoming scheduling
SciFi has updated their monthly PDFs at the NBC/Universal Cable site
and also put out a press release about adding Jericho to their schedule.
The updated schedule PDFs can be found at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The Jericho press release at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Jericho
on SciFi - SciFi has the cable rights for both seasons of Jericho and
will start airing the first season with a four hour marathon on Monday
starting at 7 pm ET/PT, Feb 11th and will subsequently air an episode
weekly Mondays at 10 pm ET/PT. They had been listing it in the
schedulebot, but on the cable site PDFs they had Jeremiah listed, so it
wasn't clear until the press release which show was being aired.
Galactica Return in April?
With
SciFi's promos indicating Galactica was returning in March, it was
assumed that it could resume as early as March 14th with Atlantis'
season finale on March 7th. However, the March schedule only has two
half hour specials scheduled at 10 pm for the last Friday in March. The
two specials are Battlestar Galactica: Revisited and Battlestar
Galactica: The Phenomenon. I would assume that means the new season
will kick off the next week on Friday April 4th.
SciFi Friday Update - Haunted gone already, post Flash still TBD
In
a not suprising move, SciFi has yanked Haunted from the Friday
schedule, replacing it with their old standby Stargate SG-1 repeats in
the 7 pm ET/PT slot, which are listed through the end of March. For the
8 pm ET/PT slot following the end of Flash Gordon, SciFi still has it
listed as TBD. It appears once Stargate Atlantis ends its season, they
will continue to air two hours of repeats in the 9 pm and 10 pm slots
until Galactica starts in April.
Ghost Hunters Season 4 & Destination Truth Season 2
SciFi
has scheduled the return of Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth for
Wednesday March 5th at 9 pm ET/PT & 10 pm ET/PT, respectively. The
two hour block of Scary But True and Scariest Places on Earth continues
on Tuesday nights through March. SciFi lists The Scariest Places on
Earth as NEW, but its still not clear if these are actual new episodes
or just "New" to SciFi. Jericho is also listed as "NEW".
Dresden Files Pilot Movie at 3 AM March 8th
The
movie version of the Dresden Files pilot episode, Storm Front, recently
aired on Space in Canada and SciFi does have the right to show it. It
appears from the new schedule that they have scheduled an airing
designed to be as low profile as you can get. It is listed at 3 AM
(yes, AM) early Saturday morning March 8th (late night Friday according
to SciFi's accounting). You'd think with the dearth of original drama
SciFi would at least air it in a reasonable time slot...
Other Schedule notes.
Level
9 - SciFi looks to be airing the yet unaired episodes of former UPN
show Level Nine as part of a daytime block on Friday, Feb 1 and Wed Feb
20th.
Tuesday Anime Movie - It looks to be a one month only deal
during February. In March, Repeats of Destination Truth are in the 11
pm ET/PT slot following ECW.
Saturday movies for March
SciFi Original movies for March look to be OGRE (tentative title) on March 8th and Rock Monster on March 22nd
and also put out a press release about adding Jericho to their schedule.

Re: Scifi Press release-Upcoming scheduling
I sent an e-mail to Sci-Fi to ask them what happened to the Roswell reruns and never heard back from them. I guess the contract for showing the episodes ran out???

Re: Scifi Press release-Upcoming scheduling
Yes, the contract was up. They could have re-negotiated but I think they have moved on to developing their own series and movies. Stinks they wouldn't even bother responding to a viewer tho.
