The Harlem Globetrotters and the cowboys from OK were entertaining in their previous seasons. Hope they do well. Brenchel will of course provide some "drama" as Rachel screams her frustrations at the hapless Brendon....but then that's their "shtick"....  

It starts this Sunday.   

The trailers hint at some dramatic development right at the start as if one team has to drop out for medical reasons. That just might be hype.  We'll see....

And when season 28 of Survivor starts on Feb. 26th we will be in hog heaven....not to be confused with the hog blog....

I'd like Jet and Cord to win this one. Or Margie and Luke. John of 'Jessica and John' is so incredibly arrogant that he is hilariously entertaining. You will recall that last time they got booted because he wouldn't allow Jessica to use their 'fast pass' saying that to do so would be 'beneath them'....

Although the details are still secret it's pretty well established that one of the teams don't get to even start due to apparent medical problems. We'll have to wait and see which ones....

Okay, so the annoying , loudmouth, Sri Lankan twin sisters are the first to come in last on the leg and be booted.

So far, so good. Who will be next ?   

So the Kentuckians got booted last week and the YouTube show hosts got it this week. But the funniest thing was when Brenchel's bamboo raft came apart in the rapids and Rachel got left behind, hung up on a rock while Brendon was swept on downstream with the remnants of their raft. Rachel yells, "I don't want to die !" But they recovered well, got over to the bank, recovered some of the bamboo logs, Brendon dived in and managed to find a suitable cross piece, they lashed it together well enough to go on downstream and finished in 5th out of 9 so all's well......

Rachel's inspirational speech to Luke may have caused some of her more rabid 'haters' to reconsider. And then when Margie and Luke went on to finish the "drink pouring" task before Brenchel, who took 3 1/2 hours ! to complete it, that was interesting. And when Brenchel came in last on the leg it was lucky that it was a non-elimination leg. Of course that raises cries of 'producer fixing' just to keep Brenchel around longer. But actually they were due for a non-elimination leg which occurs twice per season, one early, one late.

That 'tuk-tuk' refueling task in Sri Lanka was one of the most chaotic they've ever had and I wondered how they managed to get through it without all that spilled gasoline being accidentally ignited in the midst of the milling crowd. Rachel managed to complete the task in time even though she initially totally misinterpreted the instructions.

The Country singers came in last but it was a non-elimination leg so they continue on....

Good grief ! Such a stupid mistake nearly eliminated the Brenchels but they managed to pull it off and finish in the final 3, the first time they've gotten this far. So the Afghanimals get booted one week short of the finale. I don't think it would have been too popular if they would have won....

That was a spectacular season finale ! One of the best ! The winning father/son team is popular and is the first parent/child team to win the million. Also the father is the oldest person to ever win....58.

The Brenchels finished third, Rachel was devastated because Brendon had said that she could get pregnant if they won the million, but now she'll have to wait until he finishes grad school. They had a chance to win until the slow taxi driver put them behind too far in Las Vegas.
