I know there are a lot of ways this can go wrong but I'm still excited.

Re: The X-Files...
Yeah....I guess it will have to take up years after the ending of the original but that leaves a lot to speculate on...........

The "Colonization Day and a Flash-Forward" is the best choice....

Re: The X-Files...
A pretty good premire, throwing out there all the conspiracy theories in one massive package.
When Mulder spewed out all of them in that "speech" near the end of the episode, some of us caught two words:
Aztec and Dulce.
Aztec is this :

This is one of the most entertaining of the Dulce "base" claims.... :

And while we're at it here's the "Roswell Crash" :

The guy that "started" it all:

Finally, for now, when O'Malley arrives in his helicopter , N78298, the FAA data base says " not assigned".....so the producers probably didn't want to get involved with any controversy and just picked a fictional number.....OR....it's a massive conspiracy !.....Aieeee !!.
I think I'm going to have fun with this show....

Re: The X-Files...
Yeah it was pretty good. They dumped so many conspiracies in one paragraph I was having trouble tracking them all. I don't recall a few popular ones of the day like chem trails and geo engineering through stratospheric spraying, mass shootings, hoax mass shootings, GMOs, the Chelyabinsk Meteor, MH370 & MH17, ebola, free energy suppression, and so on.
I don't find it plausible that the O'Malley character is so wealthy and successful. Not that George Noory or George Knapp are poor & struggling but I don't know that they have their own helicopter.
Ready for more tonight...

Re: The X-Files...
I don't listen to the late night 'conspiracy' talk shows, so don't know what they have, but I think you're right.
Rush of course, has his own Grumman Gulfstream.

The second episode went back to the "monster of the week" format which I always thought was a waste in the original series. But at least this time we have two teenage telekinetics on the loose...

Re: The X-Files...
That was another wasted episode. Mulder said it best..."this is just silly". Why are they wasting episodes when there will only be 6 ? They should be out there grappling with alien conspiracies.

Re: The X-Files...
In the scene in the cemetery, Mulder is standing next to two tombstones with the names Kim Manners and Jack Hardy. They were prominent in the scene so I figured they must have some significance. Kim was a director on the original X-files. He died in 2009. Jack was an asst. director on the X-files in 2008. He died in 2011. Nice of them to remember them that way.

Re: The X-Files...
Yes, I knew I recognized the name as it pertained to Supernatural. But a nice tribute indeed.

I'm not sure exactly what the last scene of the final episode was trying to tell us, other than a possible season 11, but the episode overall was 'classic' X-Files and there should have been more like that during the series..

I think they'll do a spinoff with that red head if the ratings were good for this.

Re: The X-Files...
I hadn't been keeping up with the current season of The X-Files because its sched. conflicted with other shows on the same night . But I found the whole season on Sling so am catching up before the second part of the season starts soon. Just two more eps to go and so far they have been pretty good, typical X-Files plots with Mulder 'buying in' and Scully being skeptical.

Re: The X-Files...
That was a good, funny episode , the season finale I think. Mulder and Scully dealing with their 'A. I. lives'. The funniest thing is that all those multi-rotors that harassed them are available to anyone. The white one that Mulder hit with the baseball bat, an older model DJI Phantom:

The automated Sushi restaurant and the self driving taxi are still a little further down the road but it won't be long

Re: The X-Files...
I watched last night's episode and the ending got me. So I'm watching tonight. I'll catch up later.
Re: The X-Files...
More eps to go, good. I catch up with eps using FX on Sling, I never remember to watch on the initial night.
