Re: Jurassic World
First one Ben has shown an interest in going to see this summer. Also think we'll see it this weekend.

Re: Jurassic World
Yes, she mentioned that when she was on the Late Late Show, so I watched for it when I saw the movie yesterday. She does a good job on all sorts of terrain. And of course is the only character in heels.

Re: Jurassic World
It has broken all box office records for the first weekend international showings , over $500 million and is second only to The Avengers for a domestic opening and is on track to break that too.
The theater was completely full at 10:30 am, I don't see that very often, if ever.....

Re: Jurassic World
My daughter suggested we go to an "early" show as the night time shows were completely selling out at her theater. Even at that we stood in a pretty long line inside the theater (after having gotten out tickets . That hasn't happened since a Star Wars movie, if I can remember back that far. I wonder why...it's a pretty good movie but it hasn't re-invented the wheel. Just a perfect storm of a good summer movie at the right time.

Re: Jurassic World
Possibly "not reinventing the wheel" is what audiences want. In these types of franchises they have to keep close to the original "feel" in order to not alienate the audience. The next/newest Star Wars movie seems to keep in this vein judging by viewer reactions to the trailers.
On the news this morning they had short interviews with the two actors that played the boy and girl in the first Jurassic Park. He is still acting and she is an artist.
