If all these rumors are true, this is shaping up to be a 'make sure to miss' season.
But milking the concept to add 'celebrity' seasons is bogus. Sure, it may be a money maker, but the 'traditional' 3 month summer season can only be the true Big Brother.

If any of those 'celebrities' mentioned are in it I'll be heading for the door. I think everyone has had enough of Paul and Tonya and Stormy would just be flat out pandering.

Re: Big Brother Celebrity edition
If Omarosa is the ' biggest' name, then they are living in a dream world because I doubt if more than 10% of the potential audience has heard of her let alone ever followed the fake 'drama' around her. Never having watched the Apprentice I had never heard of her until the mass media created her White House dramas.
" (namely a bunch of chatter and revealing details about Trump himself)."
This won't happen but they can dream.
I see that the eccentric basketball player that Peta got stuck with on DWTS is in there and I do recognize Shannon Elizabeth but other than that......at least the Winter Olympics is on.....

I think that John, and many others are giving to much "credit" to Omarosa's "celebrity" status and how that will affect the other "celebrities" attitudes toward her. How many of them will have even heard of her, and/or her supposed political dramas ? They seem to overlook her motives for even agreeing to be on the show. What if she uses it to skewer any leftist propaganda?

Doesn't look like they will be running laps or pumping weights or sunbathing in the back yard this time since most of the space is taken up with comp. set ups.

Re: Big Brother Celebrity edition
After two episodes I can say that this is the biggest group of bland, non-entities that you could imagine. The regular casting of the summer BB is much better with a variety of , mostly, interesting characters.
During the first ep I felt mostly annoyed, during the second ep they managed to roll in the anti-Trump screed, to be expected but BB has always been strictly no politics, no religion. Why do they think this should be an exception ? Probably because they know that otherwise it would be a sleep-fest.
Shannon Elizabeth is about the only one who seems like a normal person. Hopefully she will stick around for a while and the 'boy band' member that I never heard of will be the first to be booted. Of course the basketball player has already pleaded to be booted because he misses his family. Why did he sign up in the first place ? I almost feel sorry for some of them, what kind of lives must they live to try to maintain their 'images' on their so-called shows ? The champagne drinking woman especially. And how did they get alcohol so early ? That's usually doled out sparingly on the summer BB.
Also, why do they have a Porsche RS 550 Spyder hanging sideways on the wall ? It's probably a mock-up, not a real one. What owner would want their 550 to be displayed like that ? Who on the production staff decided to do that ? What is the significance?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_550
I'll keep watching, mercifully it's only 3 weeks, if only to see how much damage they can do to the franchise.

Re: Big Brother Celebrity edition
I haven't seen the whole show so I'll have to take your word for it being a snooze fest but MSNBC is playing all Omarosa's rambles. The journalists are actually completely befuddled as to what this show is but they think it is totally surreal to be listening to a White House insider spilling the beans on what goes on there. And they are telling each other that if you want to know how The Donald thinks, this is probably a better way to try to find out than listening to actual pundits try to figure him out.

Re: Big Brother Celebrity edition
The MSNBC "journalists", using the word loosely, are one brain cell short of a total mental breakdown all the time so it's no surprise that they think they have stumbled onto something, and of course have no idea of what BB is , in any form. The whole thing is heavily edited compared to the summer shows which are let to 'run free' come what may, to a greater degree. So I'm sure the prods. will be on the lookout for more Omarosa 'reveals', although they can beat that dead horse just so many times.....
Meanwhile, last night's 2 hour episode was slightly better in that they had an actual competition and Shannon won it.
But her decision to change the previously agreed on vote to boot James and then convince the others to vote out Chuck rather than James was a mistake. They went along with her, but didn't totally agree. And James is slimy , slippery and will be more dangerous later on while Chuck was just a bland 'cannon fodder' type and would not have been as dangerous to their game later on.

When this happened I wondered why possible medical conditions hadn't been vetted by the producers beforehand. They always do that for the regular BB because of the potential legal liabilities and the handicaps it may place on the HG. I guess they didn't bother to do that with the celebrities. Who else has a medical condition lurking ?

Keisha tearfully begged to be booted so they accommodated her. Who else in the house wants to go home, what did they think they were getting into ? Meta has already indicated he wants to leave but lately he seems to have pulled it together and isn't in their sights to be booted soon.
Meanwhile its getting better overall although they still make it a point to feature Omarosa's anti-Trump rants.

They 'neglected' in the article to include her statement that the Dear Leader had deported even more illegal immigrants but it's never reported.

Re: Big Brother Celebrity edition
The BB producers must be elated that Celebrity BB is getting so much publicity from many quarters that previously never had a clue that such a show existed. Of course the inaccuracy of statements such as this "pundit" makes, doesn't really matter as long as their preconceived political biases can be vindicated.

My favorite BB contestant is expecting ! Meanwhile the Celebs are apprehensive about the appearance of Zingbot. 'It' should have no problem coming up with some zingers for that crew.

If Shannon gets booted tonight there isn't much reason to keep watching .

This is coming down to some goofiness so I try to watch all the CBS shows....nothing ever happens on the live feeds.
I'm rooting for Adriana to win if only because she's the prettiest. .....but she probably won't .

Since they are getting good ratings against the Olympics it wouldn't surprise me if they try it again next year when there won't be as much competition. But getting good 'celebrities' is always going to be a problem. Not that many "A or B listers" would want to do it. It's easier to cast the summer show with "normal" people. The summer show has announced they are now beginning to cast. They take their time and of course get thousands of entries and even then they don't always 'score' well enough to satisfy all the fans, which of course isn't possible anyway.
It's a mistake not to have the Zingbot this season. They can't be worried about 'insult suits'. The contracts cover that.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zingbot_9000
From last summer, season 19.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BmeIQbRhnk
As far as not having the OTEV comp. (VETO spelled backwards), it's understandable that they wouldn't want the celebs have to be outside in the cold and getting sprayed with various 'substances' which is always a feature of the OTEV comps. It's not a problem with the summer shows when it's usually 90-100 deg. that day.
OTEV from 4 seasons ago. Nicole in the red shirt won that year.
