Big Brother season 20...it starts ! Day 1

We will count the days only from the first TV ep, even though the actual count since they first entered the house is about 7.

So we see a somewhat typical group, the beach lifeguard, the Vegas showgirl, the retired cop keeping his history secret, the tech guy, also keeping secret, the 'farm girl' , the fitness model, the 'stay at home housewife' etc. But casting outdid themselves this season in one respect; finding a gay, Hispanic, semi-midget, professional dancer, body builder, in one person ! , being of course from West Hollywood. He seems like a fairly good HG, somewhat of a worry wart, but editing can slant anyone's demeanor as the prods. want to especially early on before anyone's 'true colors' are revealed.

But...!  at least this season there doesn't appear to be any sociopaths. They are  very hard to hide at any time and almost always reveal themselves in the first episode. None such came forward last night. Of course there is the boastful, ego maniac, who happened to win the comps. but those types always exist and can survive longer than the true sociopaths which usually scare the other HGs into booting them early.

The sets for the comps seem more innovative and elaborate than most seasons, no slanting walls and liquids being sprayed , so far, although they may have to use those again for the endurance comps.

So now a hold on all worthwhile human endeavours and conflicts until September.  But isn't that a good thing !  

No live feeds though until after tonight's ep. where we see who won the first HOH comp. although reliable 'spies' have already revealed that.
