This will leave a massive hole in TV comedy. I have been watching two reruns per night for several months in lieu of watching local news at 6 pm. (Kasia is gone, what's the point in watching news any more ? )

They show an earlier ep first then a later one. It's 'interesting' to note that earlier on they had Kaley wearing more revealing clothes but in later eps she dressed more conservatively, most of the time. Whose decision was this, hers or the producers ? All in all the writing and acting have been amazing and we can see that it takes a team, if only 3-4 people, to come up with those scripts and almost all of their production crew has been with them from the start. Also, quite a few aspiring actors have come through with only one episode appearances or sometimes ongoing roles. Laura Spencer and Riki Lindholm are two good examples of the latter, and the actress that appeared just once or twice playing Sheldon's grown twin sister, Missy, is a good example of the former, Courtney Henggeler

I guess 12 years of playing the same characters can make an actor feel that they are not giving themselves a chance to explore other sides of themselves. I will miss this show but at least I think they are going out at the top of their game.

Chances are they won't be making these kinds of $ at their next gigs but then they hardly need to.

Last night I was watching the usual BBT reruns and on Thursdays they are followed by the current Young Sheldon.  I noticed something interesting that has no relevance in the larger scheme of things but seemed interesting to me.

The rerun was from 2008 where Sheldon's grown sister, Missy, visits him in L.A. and his 'crew' falls all over themselves trying to get a date with her. She was played by Courtney Henggeler who would obviously cause that reaction in any normal male.

She played Missy with a slight Texas accent, having 'grown up' there.

Then on Young Sheldon, immediately following, Missy is played by Raegan Revord without a TX accent, yet, but the interesting thing I noticed was that Courtney and Raegan have similar speech patterns, phrasings, etc. They couldn't have planned that in the casting since the episodes were separated by 10 years. I doubt that they looked around for an 8-9 year old, remembering Courtney's speech patterns from 10 years ago. Courtney only appeared on the BBT twice, once in 2008 and again earlier this year in Sheldon's wedding episode.

The ending will no doubt be compared to the endings of Seinfeld, Friends, HIMYM, etc. One speculation is if Penny's last name will ever be revealed. One exec prod. says it will, before the ending, but another says it won't. Will they come to blows ?

I would like to see Laura Spencer ( Raj's girlfriend) show up in some show in the future. She was my favorite 'girl friend' along with Courtney, who wasn't anyone's girlfriend on the show, but Laura was in a lot more episodes.

Been with this show since it started. One of Craig's favorites too. I hate it that it's ending but agree they are going out at the top of their game and that's bestl

Since they are all multimillionaires (if their financial managers are any good at all ) then we have to wonder how hard they will try to continue in their acting careers. But then we remember that most of the actors in the above mentioned, long running, highly popular shows went on to great careers with the exception of the one guy on Seinfeld who hasn't done a whole lot since then.

interesting things here.

There are a lot of BBT videos on You Tube. There is one recent one where the cast put their hand prints in the cement on
Hollywood Blvd. they made a special long frame to accommodate all of them. where that will be displayed they didn't say.

There's going to be even more vids on You Tube about the finale and retrospects as next Thursday draws near.  Mayim Bialik has a good one that she made of a tour behind the scenes, no one else appears in it but we get a good look at the sets and the stairs and hall ways around the studio. The big painting of Penny and Amy that Amy gave to Penny much to her 'delight' is hanging in one of the hallways.

I think there is going to be even more regret to see it go than there was for Friends and Seinfeld. The writing and cast are/were so far above any other contemporary sit-com that there is no comparison. Only Modern Family, on its best days can come close, and that was in earlier seasons.

Probably the best series finale ever ! Certainly the one that had cast, fans , viewers the most engaged.

I figured Pennie would be pregnant but I'm really ditched that it ends without knowing where that goes. Oh well....

One of them had said in an earlier ep, either Amy or Bernadette, that their babies would be both beautiful and smart, so I guess we can bank on that.
