The Big Bang Theory
This is the funniest show on the air right now and no one is watching it... I don't know if HULU has it but if they do, drop what you are doing and watch the episodes from the beginning.

Re: The Big Bang Theory
I agree, it is the funniest. Right now they are all repeats but I re-watch them anyway. It's on Monday Penny, CBS. Jim Parsons deserves an Emmy for keeping his portrayal of Sheldon going with never a slip in character, and that's not an easy one to play. One of the funny things about it is that the scientific gibberish that they spout is actually accurate, although of course barely skimming the surface of the subject, and some of the math equations in the background, those that I can remember, are accurate too, although there's no way to tell what they refer too, and the big red and blue molecular model is neat too...

Jim Parsons is a genius and I hope he wins. Does anyone know if he's done anything else prior to Big Bang?
Re: The Big Bang Theory
He seems to have been acting since 2002. I saw Garden State...and watched all the Ed episodes though his performance isn't anything I remember. But he sure is good in this show.

I"m going to need an oxygen tank if I keep watching this show. Sheldon and Will Wheaton....OMG! They should have Will Wheaton come on every once in a while.
And the double date.....Thought I was gonna die!
Re: The Big Bang Theory
That was a funny one all right..... Last season's high point, for me, was when Summer Glau was riding the train....

Well...there are some super upgrades that Forumotion is doing. Thought the problems with the new servers they put in a week ago was resolved but seems some problems continue. Part of the problem is I can't get in to admin the board and clean up anything because I don't have my laptop back yet and the clunker I'm on won't even download my yahoo mail.
Hopefully all the problems will be solved by the end of this week. I can say the roll out of the new things we'll be seeing will look fabulous....so just hang tight.
Re: The Big Bang Theory
Thank goodness I brought 4 hot dogs home from the cookout we had at work today ! They will see me through to a resolution to the problems... Thanks AR.

The producers of CBS' The Big Bang Theory revealed that comic-book legend Stan Lee will appear as a guest on an upcoming episode, the latest in a string of sci-fi cameos that has included Star Trek's Wil Wheaton, Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff and Dollhouse's Summer Glau. (Spoilers ahead!)

This show is at the top of my list!
More pass the O2 moments. And it hadn't really registered that Sheldon is a Texan but tonight...OMG! The dialogue and banter doesn't miss a beat. I'm glad we taped it I want to see it again.
Re: The Big Bang Theory
More than you'll need to know about Sheldon:

"Raised in an aluminum trailer".......hmmm.....most older ones are aluminum. Probably an Airstream, if even older possibly a Spartan. I know a little about trailers having lived in a Prarie Schooner (1946-1950). Duo ('51-52). New Moon (53-57) and Palm Harbor ('86 to present)

Monday night's episode was just about the funniest ever...
Judy Greer played the "slut" physicist I've seen her in so many shows...the one I can remember most recently was Californication.

Report: ‘Big Bang’
Stars Seeking Bigger Bucks
by Matt Webb Mitovich
Jun 3rd, 2010 | 3:28 PM | Comments 70
The three leads of CBS’ high-rated ‘The Big Bang Theory’ are seeking a
285 percent pay raise for Season 4.
If you’re waiting for a “Bazinga!,” it ain’t coming.
As reported by Forbes.com, Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley
Cuoco are acting in concert to renegotiate their $65,000-per-episode
arrangement to a cool quarter mil.
In the trio’s favor are ‘Big Bang’s boffo numbers from the past
season, where in a new Mondays-at-9:30 slot it repeatedly set new
all-time highs and at least once even bested lead-in ‘Two and a Half
Men.’
‘Big
Bang’s Jim Parsons Teaches Us The Science Of Sheldon
For the season, ‘Big Bang’ emerged as the top-rated comedy in the
coveted 18-to-49 demographic and is generating more Emmy buzz than ever,
in the Best Comedy race as well as for Parsons.
So white-hot is the comedy that CBS deemed it capable of anchoring
the Thursday-night line-up come this fall.
As further testament to ‘Big Bang’s longterm value, the show recently
got sold into syndication for a reported $2 million per episode.
Both CBS and Warner Brothers TV, which produces ‘Big Bang Theory,’
declined to comment on the Forbes.com story.
What do you think, ‘Big Bang’ fans? Are all of the
three leads deserving of a richer payday, given the show’s growing
success?

Re: The Big Bang Theory
Stars Confront Crazy Fans and Costumes at Comic-Con Party
The cast of "The Big Bang Theory" caused quite the commotion at Comic-Con. Even Jerry O'Connell took note of the hoopla at CBS and Entertainment Weekly's party.
"You can't help but notice 'The Big Bang Theory' just dominating
this entire [thing]," observed "The Defenders" and 'Piranha 3D' actor.
"I think it's bigger than some of the movies coming in here and it's so
funny because they play the people who are at this convention. It's like
art imitating life imitating art."
"The Big Bang Theory"'s Jim Parsons recalled a
fan encounter, "I did get presented with a napkin last year by a fan and
they asked me to wipe my mouth with it so that they would have my DNA,
which was something that happened in the show. It wasn't like I'm Elvis. I didn't touch it to my mouth, Kaley [Cuoco] reminded me. She dabbed my forehead with it, which was much more safe and sanitary."
Comic-Con attendees shamelessly dress as their favorite
characters at the annual convention. Jerry wanted to get in the spirit
of things, saying, "I was going to come here as Chewbacca, but I put it
away. [It was] a little warm outside."
"NCIS"'s Pauley Perrette said, "I see Abby's
walking around everywhere...There's people dressed like Abby in every
country I've been to and of course on Halloween there's millions of
them. I get pictures sent--men, women, and children, guys with beards
and ponytails and dog collars and lab coats."
The cast of the new "Hawaii Five-O" even washed ashore in San Diego and star Daniel Dae Kim justified how they fit into the comic niche. "We have Len Wiseman, director of 'Underworld.' We have Grace Park, star of 'Battlestar Galactica.' Alex Kurtzman [and] Roberto Orsi [from] 'Star Trek.' There's a sci-fi connection here and it's the demographic of Comic-Con," he explained.

‘Big Bang’s Kaley Cuoco To Miss One Episode After Breaking Leg

Kaley Cuoco’s whole universe – already presumably in a hot, dense state – was sent tumbling when she suffered a broken leg in a horseriding accident this weekend. As a result, Cuoco was put on temporary medical leave and Penny will be quickly written out of the ‘Big Bang Theory‘ episode taping this week.
‘Big Bang Theory’ Geeks Out With ‘Trek’/’Battlestar’ One-Two Punch!Beyond that, CBS’ high-rated sitcom was already scheduled for a one-week respite, after which Cuoco will hopefully be able to return to work. Now as much as I luhrve Kaley (even though she’s a bit of a reality-TV nut), I would have recast Penny for the one episode with Sarah Chalke. Any ‘Roseanne‘ fans out there should follow my thinking, since Chalke was brought in as a Becky recast and ‘Big Bang’ already stars Johnny Galecki.Slot in Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert for encores as Sheldon’s mom and Leslie Winkle, and you get a nice, buzzworthy “reunion” going on.But that’s just me rambling. Penny will simply be written out of the episode, I am assured. Unless my pitch gets some traction, wink-wink.
‘Big Bang’ vs. ‘Community’: Who Will Lose The Fall Season’s Nastiest Timeslot Battles?Remember: CBS’ ‘Big Bang Theory’ will air on Thursdays at 8/7c this season, starting September 23.

The stars of ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ are getting a big bump in salary, according to Deadline.com.Geek wish granted: Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco, who had been lobbying all summer for a raise, will now earn $200,000 an episode for the upcoming fourth season–way up from their previous paychecks of $60,000.‘Big Bang’ Star Breaks Leg in Riding AccidentAnd because nerds are good at math (or because they have good agents), the actors will also get incremental increases over the next three years.
