There is one other 'problem' that he doesn't mention, or probably realize, is that any S-F reboot or even new, original shows, are going to pale in comparison to The Expanse. It has established such a high bar for S-F productions, movies as well as TV, that any new productions will inevitably be compared to it to their detriment.

Already my critical eye for correct physics, honed by 3 seasons of The Expanse, has noticed a big error in the trailer for Ad Astra. Others will pick up on it of course and will comment when the movie is released this Friday, if not sooner. I won't see it until next Tuesday and won't comment until then.
