Hannah won the Power of Veto

Tiffany didn’t have a guaranteed spot in this comp since she lost her HOH and she didn’t get picked to play this week. So instead we saw Claire, Alyssa, and Hannah selected to participate in the comp.

So that should likely be the end of Sarah’s game as I expect the noms will remain as they currently stand. Hannah could save Xavier with no worries of a renom since he was the bonus third nominee and then everyone will vote out Sarah with her one potential supporting voter sitting next to her on the Block for Thursday night.

Seems likely...

And there you have it....two thumbs up

Power of Veto Ceremony Spoilers – Week 8

Hannah decided to use her Veto
Xavier was removed from the Block
No renom
Final noms: Kyland & Sarah Beth

We’re back down to just the usual two nominees since there’s no renom for the bonus nominee, so that big extra couch production brought in was for nothing. Ah well.

Kyland can’t stop talking his way through the Houseguests with every strategy he devises, which mostly all benefit just himself. He tried hard yesterday but it didn’t work and the ladies of the Cookout saw right through all his pushing to save Sarah. So now Kyland is staying put on the Block with Sarah and one of them will be voted out on Thursday. It’ll be Sarah heading to Jury, but it’ll be interesting to see him sweat a little, as the ladies of the Cookout discussed could happen.

Who do you think will be the next Houseguest evicted? Vote now in our poll below.

Thank you for voting!
Sarah Beth 89.04%

Kyland 10.96%

Of course I'd like to see Alyssa win the HOH on Thursday (which probably won't be shown on CBS if it's an endurance comp, they usually take too long) and crush the hopes and dreams of the 'cookout'. She's strong and light, two requirements for doing well in endurance comps, so hopefully that's what the HOH comp will be. two thumbs up

Houseguests are looking ahead this week to the Final 8 on Big Brother 23 and that is about to leave Alyssa and Claire standing next to the season’s dominant, secret alliance, The Cookout. And the odds are on the Cookout’s side to control the next Head of Household coming up on Thursday.

We’re fully expecting Sarah Beth to leave this week over Kyland as the Cookout didn’t come this far to get rid of even perhaps one of their less popular members (and he’d like to speak to the manager about that). With Sarah out and Kyland in we’ll be looking at eight Houseguests remaining on BB23 and three quarters of that roster being the Cookout. It gets worse for the two outsiders, Alyssa and Claire.

This past week we saw Claire win the High Rollers twist needlessly (we know it was needless, she didn’t) which unseated Tiffany and released her from the restrictions of being unable to not compete in the next HOH comp. Claire picked up that mantle instead and will now be blocked from winning the upcoming HOH (since her role is secret we don’t know how they’ll manage that, but we’ll probably see it worked out). That means that Alyssa will be the only non-Cookout member competing to win HOH. Good luck!

Now the backyard has been shutdown for a while so the Houseguests are thinking they may have an endurance battle ahead and as you’ll remember, Alyssa did pretty well in that last comp with The Wall where she came in third place behind Xavier and DX (DX won after X threw it to him). So if there is an endurance comp ahead then Alyssa will have a fighting chance, but it won’t be easy going against six secretly conspiring opponents. Okay, make that five opponents after DF drops out in the first three minutes.

So just for fun, let’s say Alyssa does win the HOH then she’ll be safe for the week and Cookout will need to get to work on making Claire her target. As long as Claire stays on the Block come next Thursday then she’ll be out, leaving just Alyssa as the outsider to the Cookout. But in the case that Alyssa wins HOH and Claire wins Veto then the jig is up and the Cookout will have narrowly missed its goal. But really, the odds are stacked against this scenario.

Running just on the odds, the Cookout is favored to win this coming HOH over Alyssa, and then even at the worst case for their numbers, they’ll be playing 4 vs 2 in the Veto. Xavier would have his hands in the mix for a possible Alyssa HOH just as Tiffany would have with Claire (which can’t happen this week anyway). They’ll be able to pull all the strings they can and again position themselves for the Final 7. And in that scenario with Alyssa winning the F8 HOH, Alyssa would be the only HG not competing for F7 HOH and will assure the Cookout can make the F6.

It’s the Cookout’s house right now, the other two are just passing through.

Side note: We’re expecting a Triple Eviction to take us from F7 to F4 in one night on Sept 16th. So we’re really going to get short-changed on finally seeing the Cookout turn on itself in those few rounds. Just be ready for it.

Tonight on Big Brother 23 (8/7c) we’re back for the next eviction of the season with the live vote taking us down to Final 8 plus our next Endurance Head of Household competition to set us up for Week 9 of BB23. Let’s find out who gets evicted tonight and who takes control!

Things have been pretty set in stone since the week kicked off that Sarah would be the target and it could have been upset with the High Rollers twist but Tiffany and Hannah worked through the plan to not only retain the original noms but free Tiffany back up for the next HOH comp.

So here we go into tonight’s Big Brother eviction with just six votes and technically the chance of a tie, but we know that won’t be happening. With Sarah’s biggest supporter sitting next to her there won’t be anyone to cast a pity vote, though Kyland was making a push for that overnight with either Xavier or Tiffany throwing him on a bone on it.

Heading into next week there are only going to be two non-Cookout HGs left in the game and one of them, Claire, can’t even compete in this HOH because of her secret HOH win the High Rollers room. That means it’ll be Alyssa versus the Cookout for tonight’s Endurance HOH comp. Remember that last time she came in third on The Wall, losing only to Xavier and DX with Kyland watching from the bench as the outgoing HOH. Lots of possibilities for tonight’s competition and we’ll have to see if she can hold her own against some tough competitors in the Cookout.

Starting right after the east coast broadcast completes we will be able to watch the HOH Endurance battle on the Live Feeds. Grab the Free Trial now and be ready to watch what happens next.

What do you hope to see happen on tonight’s Big Brother show? Who would make the best new HOH? We’ll soon see who wins this next big competition with our spoilers to follow!
