Re: Glee - Season 3
Thought Matt Bomer was hilarious as the actor big brother of Blaine! And he can sing.
It was also a very thoughtful way to bring back the girl who had been texting while driving.

Re: Glee - Season 3
New Season of Glee began tonight. Did anyone watch? I thought it introduced a couple of interesting new characters. We got to see Kate Hudson dance...and I was quite happy with the end. Still, I was only interested about 60% of the time so I hope it picks up as it goes along.

Oh, you might have made a mistake there. Her dance routine was sizzling hot! And it looks like it will be a recurring role.

Re: Glee - Season 3
If I could somehow blank out all video and audio on the show except her performances I'd do it, but I'm afraid the technology isn't quite up to it yet, although Samsung is probably working on it....

Re: Glee - Season 3
Corey Monteith has died at age 31. What a sad, sad thing.

That's too bad, don't think I ever saw him on Glee, but way too young...

Re: Glee - Season 3
Apparently there are quite a few original members not returning for the next season.

I don't suppose they will let Finn just disappear but they will come up with a storyline. I just hope they don't go for a "sudden death" . That might be a bit hard to take in several ways.

Re: Glee - Season 3
Yes, I read that and it pretty much shut down any feelings I had for the show. Why would the studio do that? I have no interest in the new crew so I'm done.
Truthfully with Corey gone this show will not last more than one season, if that. And what will be done with Lea, she's not going to get over this anytime soon much less be ready for filming the next season in September. Some people are going to have to reset their value systems or this will wind up being a train wreck. I don't think Corey would have wanted that. But, then I don't believe it was drugs. I think his heart gave out.

Re: Glee - Season 3
I was hoping, for the sake of his loved ones, that it would have turned out to be a different cause but here it is:
Cory Monteith, whose body was found in a Vancouver hotel room over the weekend, died of a "mixed drug toxicity" of heroin and alcohol, authorities say.
"At this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith's death was anything other than a most-tragic accident," the BC Coroners Service says in a statement released Tuesday.
The cause of the Glee star's death at age 31 was determined by an autopsy and toxicology tests. An investigation continues.

Re: Glee - Season 3
I too hoped it was anything but this. I'm just sick. The investigation continues... I wonder if they will question everyone that was in his hotel room that he left with. I hope so.
I feel so sorry for Lea Michelle. It's going to take a long time to come to grips with this. I didn't even know this guy but really liked his acting and took a shining to him once I read the article in Parade. So, when I read he had died on MSN I thought it was a joke. Then when I researched, it just made me cry.
I think his fans will have a hard time too.

I don't have this man's experience but this is a wonderful message to pass on to anyone who struggles with addiction. And it is the truth.

Re: Glee - Season 3
The episode celebrating the life of Cory Monteith is tonight. It's called The Quarterback.
Re: Glee - Season 3
I think they did a dignified and heartfelt tribute. Wise to let the music do most of the talking for them.
Lea Michelle tore my heart out. Don't think there was any "acting" involved in that.

Re: Glee - Season 3
I agree. It was very well done. I held up pretty well even though I could see in all their faces that it was very hard to do what they did. When it came to Lea's song the tears began to fall and when they finished up the episode with Mr. Shue, I just bawled. Very depressed on Friday. So sad that he is gone. I think he would have had a very bright future and Lea would have been at his side all the way through it.
Re: Glee - Season 3
Glee may soon be taking a bigger bite out of the Big Apple.
Fox’s groundbreaking musical — which for the past year-plus has been splitting its focus between New York and Lima, Ohio — may shift the action entirely to the City That Never Sleeps as early as this season, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.
It’s one of several ideas Fox is discussing with Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, who have been forced to reexamine all aspects of the show in the wake of Cory Monteith’s tragic death in July.
In an interview earlier this month, Murphy acknowledged that navigating the post-Finn era has been “f—ing hard,” adding, “It’s hard every day. It’s hard in the writers room, it’s hard on the set.”
Murphy also hinted that he had “a good idea” that would carry the show through to its sixth and likely final season next year. “I’m going to tell the studio and the network how after Cory’s unfortunate passing we can end the show [in a way] that I think is very satisfactory,” he shared. “And kind of in his honor, which I love.”
If the Gotham-centric plan gets a green light, Glee is not expected to move its production to the East Coast — although more frequent on-location shoots would be likely. Additionally, producers would be faced with the difficult task of deciding which characters currently tied to Lima (and McKinley High) would join Rachel, Kurt and Santana in NYC.

Re: Glee - Season 3
I don't watch Glee so I didn't know it took place in Lima, OH which strikes me as odd, given that I've been there quite a few times, an aunt and uncle used to live near there, and the "ambiance" in general doesn't strike me as a likely setting for that H.S. One memorable thing about it is the smell from an industrial plant (fertilizer I think) as you drive through the east side of town.
