BB 13 week 5 day 3. Why the surprise?

I don't know why Kubicek is surprised by what he calls a "turn". Anyone watching the live feeds has seen that Brendon is saving Rachel. That has been obvious since at least Sunday. Yesterday they were moping around with Brendon telling Rachel to be strong in his absence and Rachel being weepy as usual. Their overtures to Dani were bogus from the first words out of their mouths. She knows that, we know that, so what's so shocking ? Oh well, things will play out as expected.

'Big Brother 13' Spoilers: A Very Shocking Week 4 Veto Ceremony

Just when I think I have the Big Brother 13 house figured out, it takes a dramatic turn. I've followed the live feeds and was certain I knew what would happen in the Power of Veto ceremony, but then things took a turn.

Brendon won the Power of Veto and used it to save Rachel!

Jordan was nominated in her place.

Now you might think Brendon saving his fiancee isn't a big deal, but it is. Ever since he won the Veto, they've been telling everyone (including Jeff and Jordan) that Brendon was saving himself. Everyone in the house was planning for Rachel to still be on the block. But with Brendon saving her, it throws everything into chaos.

The funniest part is that it couldn't have worked out better for Daniele because she actually wanted Brendon gone, and now it looks like it's going to happen. It's a safe bet that Jeff, Kalia, Lawon, Shelly and Adam will all vote to evict Brendon, and Porsche will probably just go with the house.

Last night (that was Sunday night) Brendon and Rachel tried to make the case to keep both of them, but Daniele isn't that stupid. They said they'd go back to the veterans alliance and forgive everything, and they were probably telling the truth, but Daniele would still be in a bad position because she'd be gone once they reached the final five if she didn't win everything. What Brendon and Rachel don't understand is that Daniele isn't playing to go far, she's playing to win. She doesn't care if she's evicted next week or if she finishes in third place, both would be equally unacceptable outcomes for her. Getting rid of Brendon now might make her a bigger target in the near future, but it gives her a much better shot at making the finale at the end.

In the end, while I don't think Brendon would've done that well by himself (as we saw last season), I think Rachel is even worse off (True). Jeff and Jordan don't really like her as much as they like Brendon and will be less likely to stay true to her for the rest of the season, and while Rachel might be the HoH Queen, she has never won a PoV by herself. But I'm also excited to see how Rachel plays this game without Brendon, because it's something we've never seen before. She hooked up with him right away last season and was evicted first, so Rachel as a solo player is an unknown variable.

Whatever happens, this week's HoH competition is going to be fierce and if Rachel wins, she will be gloating more than ever before.

Last night at 11 pm Porsche and Adam put on a "strip club show" as a "going away party" for Brendon. He and Rachel had front row seats. I was watching on Showtime rather than the computer and wouldn't you know it, they cut away to plug a show just as the 'entertainment' started. So I used the flashback function this morning to get these pics. I had to use the quad cam in order to capture most of it. Here's what one fan had to say.... :lol:


"Now that Brendon is leaving, hopefully with Rachel following suit shortly, I don't care if Dani stays or goes. Still not back on her bandwagon but I'm happy they are gone.

I just wish Rachel had gone first. I know y'all don't like Brendon, but in all actuality, he's the rational one in that relationship. He's the one you can work with and he probably won't back stab just for the sake of a back stab. *He* is not the paranoid one in that relationship. She is. And she's infectious. Just wait until she's in that house without him. It's about to get cray-zee up in there!

On a side note, did anyone else notice last night that while Porsche and Adam were doing their little dance number Brendon didn't take his eyes off of ADAM!? I was ROFLMAO! He was terrified to look at Porsche and you could actually see that terror in his eyes!"

Random comment for today:

I live in fear of Brendon's exit on Thursday. There will be millions viewing who will simultaneously doing a happy dance which will cause Earth plate shifting from sea to shining sea. All of humanity will be in danger. But hey... at least the HGs will be spared and we won't have to watch him anymore. Oh the things we endure for our sanity.



I see it now: On eviction night, CBS will show the trash wedding. Rach and Bren appear in wedding gear. HE is evicted, and we see the bride crying, reaching for the groom, as he departs. Maybe he will get his garbage bag stuck and as he leaves, drags the bride out the door. What she is referring to is that tomorrow night, or maybe tonight, they are going to stage a "trashy wedding" with Brendon and Rachel dressed in garbage bags playing the bride and groom. Rachel has spoken at length about her job situation. When she was a Vegas girl she made tons of money (Up to $12K a day sometimes) and had a sizable savings even though she blew through a lot of it. She and Brendon (He seems to have very expensive tastes) have been living off of her savings this past year and she's nearly broke. She says she can't get a job because people know her from the show last season and don't like her. She's even resorted to lying and saying that she's not the girl who was on BB12 to get a job, but it didn't work.

Personally I think that's a little sad. Say what you will about Rachel but she's a character that I'm glad we had the opportunity to meet. Better to see people like her on the show than a cast full of people like last season's Kathy or this season's Lawon and Porsche (up to this point anyway).

If people start worrying that they will ruin their lives by being on BB, the big characters will stop trying because they don't know if we will love them or hate them. KWIM? Maybe that's why BB casts so many acting hopefuls...
