Re: The Dresden Files
That's right. We get a little taste to keep us baited for the up coming season.
Berry, do you know anything about the person who plays Star Buck? She has been part of the new bionic women show......
Can She do two shows at once?

I know she's a terific actress. I don't know specifically about her doing w
2 series at once. But James Marsters will be on recurring roles on Smallville, Torchwood and Without A Trace starting in January...so apparently, it can be done.

Re: The Dresden Files
I guess, I am happy to see this because it means they are gainfully employeed. This has got to be hell trying to keep a steady income. I know I don't like doing piece work like this, but some times (well in the past) this was all the work and it was plentyfull.
I am happy to see they are employeed. Dose this reflect the manager or the actor? Is exposure the key to selection?
I was so disappointed last night when I could not find the next epi of Dresend. So I watched Star Trek - Enterprise.

Re: The Dresden Files
The Dresden Files wasn't on last night, maybe because of the holiday so they decided to show old STE eps instead...
It looks like Katee Sackhoff won't have a conflict between filming BSG and BW;
"And speaking of BSG's fourth season, production in Vancouver
has shut down after finishing the 10th episode due to the Writer's
Guild strike. This means that the fourth season will definitely be
split, although how long the delay will be remains to be seen. On the
bright side, it also means that Katee gets a little bit of a break,
which she certainly deserves!"
But apparently she has even more roles in the works;
"Sackhoff is already a pinup in the lesbian community thanks to her
role as a battle-worn fighter pilot on the Sci Fi hit series Battlestar Galactica. As Corvis, she’s ready to storm the set of The L Word. "
I'll be sure to watch Razor, and see if it appeals to me more than BSG which I could never get into, although I watched many episodes. I think the most annoying parts were the blond Cylon and the little guy that she was always tormenting or threatening, or whatever it was she was doing...
By having Razor take place on the Pegasus this gives them a chance to have all new characters which may be a plus...

Re: The Dresden Files
December 7th, well I be ready....
I will be watching Razor to see the other side of the story. I was getting tired to the blond and Baltar..... The Baltar character is a toughest part to play, but it is getting old. The same with Star Buck....
I think this show has about a 5 yr arck. If season 4 is slow, the break will most likely kill the show.
I just noticed last night that Nicholas Cage was one of the Executive producers for Deresend files. This story line fits his character line.
Nich also has a new movie coming out. Well it is actually #2 of National Treasures. Adventure/fiction.... I hope it is as good as the last one.

Re: The Dresden Files
This is about the 2 hour version of the pilot that was cut down to 1 hour for tv. The whole thing was never shown so this contains new material:
Dresden Files Pilot Movie at 3 AM March 8th
The
movie version of the Dresden Files pilot episode, Storm Front, recently
aired on Space in Canada and SciFi does have the right to show it. It
appears from the new schedule that they have scheduled an airing
designed to be as low profile as you can get. It is listed at 3 AM
(yes, AM) early Saturday morning March 8th (late night Friday according
to SciFi's accounting). You'd think with the dearth of original drama
SciFi would at least air it in a reasonable time slot...

Re: The Dresden Files
You will notice that in the new NBC series "Lipstick Jungle" Harry Dresden reappears, sort of... I will check out a few eps but only because Kim Raver is in it...
Paul Blackthorne as Shane Healy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Paul
Blackthorne joins NBC’s “Lipstick Jungle” as “Shane,” Wendy Healy’s
(Brooke Shields) supportive husband and the stay-at-home father of two
who is trying to find his own niche in the business world, separate
from his ambitious wife’s career.
No stranger to television audiences, Blackthorne recently starred as
“Harry Dresden” in the cult favorite SCI FI Channel series “The Dresden
Files.” Earlier this season he recurred in the drama series “Big Shots”
as a cosmopolitan British homewrecker. He has also guest-starred on
NBC’s “ER” and “Medium,” and did a villainous turn as biological
terrorist “Stephen Saunders” in the third season of “24.” Other
television credits include “Monk” and “Presidio Med.”
With many independent films in his list of credits, he received
critical acclaim for the role of “Captain Russell” opposite Aamir Khan
in the Oscar-nominated “Lagaan,” directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Later
this year, he will be seen in the Robert Zemeckis production of “A
Christmas Carol.”
Blackthorne’s first acting experience was as an 11-year-old with
England’s National Youth Music Theatre in the UK. Starring alongside
Tom Hollander, Toby Jones and John Arney, Blackthorne appeared in the
first production of “The Leaving of Liverpool” at Abingdon School,
which moved on to the Edinburgh Festival and then to London’s West End.
A few years later, he was back with the NYMT at the Bergen Festival in
a production of “The Ragged Child.” After numerous commercials in the
mid- 1990s (most notably the Virgin Atlantic “Grim Reaper” commercial),
Blackthorne was back on stage at the Nottingham Playhouse in a
production of Tennessee Williams’ “Suddenly Last Summer.” Following
that, he played Mr. Shakespeare in The Blank Theater Company’s
production of “Women Are the Weaker Sex.”
Off-camera, Blackthorne can usually be found holding a camera. An
Kim Raver as Nico Reilly
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Kim
Raver returns to primetime as the star of NBC's "Lipstick Jungle,"
portraying "Nico Reilly," the editor-in-chief of the hot fashion
magazine "Bonfire." Nico is a hard-as-nails, no-nonsense businesswoman
who can hang with the best of the boys club. Her marriage has fallen on
hard times with an inattentive husband, so she decides to look
elsewhere for the love she so desperately craves.
Born and raised in New York City, Raver had a regular role on the
children's television series "Sesame Street" from the ages of 6 to 9.
After "Sesame Street" the young actress joined off-Broadway's first
all-children's theater.
In 2006, Raver appeared in the feature-film comedy hit "Night at the
Museum," opposite Ben Stiller and Robin Williams. Her other film
credits include "Prisoner," opposite Julian McMahon, "City Hall" with
Al Pacino, "Mind the Gap" (directed by Eric Schaeffer), and "Keep Your
Distance," directed by Stu Pollard. Raver also starred in the 2005
Lifetime movie "Haunting Sarah," a chilling supernatural thriller in
which she portrayed identical twins.
At the start of her career, Raver paid her bills by acting in
commercials that brought her to Venice for a Visa advertisement and put
her in a Jeep for famed director Ridley Scott.
Raver's big break came with her Broadway debut in the play "Holiday" in which she co-starred with Laura Linney and Tony Goldwyn.
Raver endeared herself to critics and viewers during the five years
she starred as paramedic Kim Zambrano on the police-paramedic drama
"Third Watch." Most recently, Raver starred for two seasons on the Emmy
Award-winning drama "24" as Audrey Raines. Raver's other television
credits include lead roles on the dramas "The Nine" and "Trinity,"
guest-starring roles in "The Practice," "Spin City," NBC's "Law &
Order," and a recurring role on "Central Park West."
In addition, Raver co-starred with David Schwimmer and John Spencer
in the Williamstown production of "The Glimmer Brothers," written by
Warren Leight.
A fine arts graduate of Boston University, Raver continues to study
theater in New York with teacher and mentor Wynn Handman. She is fluent
in French and German, the latter a language that she learned as a child
from her German-born mother.
Raver lives between New York and Los Angeles.

According to the DF forums at Scifi, the show is off the schedule, no news about any return and the fans are bemoaning that. Apparently there is a poll at Amazon about favorite Scifi show and Dresden Files is getting 46% of the vote so far with the next nearest show getting around 21%.

Now I will be buying all of Butcher's books to get more magic.
I really hope they will bring this show back, if only in re-runs.

The rights revert back to Jim Butcher in a few years. So at that time, if book sales are still strong, there is a possibility that a movie or new series could be made.
That's not just me thinking it, I got that idea from the Jim Butcher forum.

Oh, I read your email too late to watch. But I am still looking. I will probably see it when it is out on DVD.
For Dresend files, I bought the first 5 of the ten book series. Wow!!!
There is a very think grey line between the show and the book story lines. I can decide which I like better.
The character choosen for the TV help with the book.
I am pacing my self so this series will carry me through March when the next Clive Cussler (Oregon files) book arrives.
So much to ready and never enough time to watch TV.
