Might as well have a Star Wars thread...
.....I won't see it until the frenzy dies down. One of the cineplexes here is stopping all showings of other films after 5pm and using all the screens for Star Wars for as many days as necessary, which probably won't be that long. There isn't enough population in the state to sustain massive viewing over longer periods....

Oh, we are so naughty ! I suspect that there are a lot of behind the scenes shots still lurking out there. Especially if we remember that there is always a still-photographer on the set taking many pics, but they usually just shoot during actual filming , not behind the scenes stuff, but who knows what all they shot ?
When we were on the Independence Day set there was a guy roaming all over the place taken many still pics from all angles in between takes and even during takes out of camera range.

Tuesdays is $5 day at the cineplex where I go and at the first matinee, usually around 10-11 am there is rarely more than 30-40 people in the auditorium, at least for the movies I go to, so I'm hoping there will only be a couple of hundred this Tuesday for Star Wars....will report back.

Reviews seem good so far. Dealing with the crowds on opening weekend... no thanks.

Saw it on Tuesday. Since the kids were out of school for the week and it was $5 day the theater was full except for the first 8 rows, at the 10:15 am showing. Suspected that would be the case so got there 45 min. early and got a good seat.
It is certainly the most 'spectacular' SW to date. CGI has come a long way since the last one. As far as "character development" is concerned it doesn't break new ground but Daisy Ridley is a good addition and almost carries the film and will be great in sequels which of course are set up at the end.....no spoilers.
The 'old cast' has good screen time except for Mark Hamill.....no spoilers.
