Everyone is interested in how they will do the crossover. Will Morgan brings his big, wooden staff with him ? It has impaled and busted the brains of many Walkers on TWD.

Since Fear the Walking Dead takes place about 6 months before the start of The Walking Dead, in the apocalyptic world, not the TV sched. and since Morgan was missing from TWD for quite a few seasons since first appearing in S1, it is theorized that he went to CA, and therefore encountered the world of FTWD.

It's questions like this that really cause powerful and influential members of the viewer class to earn their money !

Garret Dillahunt is joining the cast. He's always good and has most recently been in The Gifted. But I always remember him playing the Terminator, Cromartie, in The Sarah Conner Chronicles.

Jenna Elfman is an interesting addition to the cast. She normally sticks more toward the comedic stuff. Maybe she wants to try something different. FTWD is a good choice for that !

Meanwhile we are anxiously waiting to see how Morgan does the cross over from TWD. Does he walk all the way from GA to TX ? Probably..... We do know there is a time jump from the end of S3, at least a year; They got out of the flood caused by the dam collapse.

They have some really good actors coming in to play these new characters. It was probably not too hard to recruit them given the popularity of the show and the 'high profile' that their roles would result in.

Their special effects and makeup staff makes just about every other show look like toddlers playing tiddlywinks in their sand box.

That was a good season 4 premire. Morgan gets from GA to TX by walking, finding cars with gas still left, and more walking. Maggie Grace with her big SWAT truck and its auto-operating, dual machine guns is a good addition. Jenna Elfman won't appear until ep 2. Meanwhile the survivors of the dam break seem to be in poor shape. What they went through since then will probably be revealed in flash backs. But when they hold up Maggie's truck and Morgan they are suspicious of everything/everyone. A good attitude in that world of course.

Garret Dillahunt is a good addition too.  How he became a 'gunslinger' will presumably be revealed eventually. Of course I will always refer to his character as "Cromartie".

While The Walking Dead production will remain in GA for the foreseeable future, Fear the Walking Dead has moved from northern Mexico to the Austin, TX area. I haven't heard why, possibly for logistics, the production costs may be higher there, but certainly not as high as CA. Of course on the show it's not evident that they are in a different location and it won't be because the encampment couldn't be changed in appearance without disturbing the plot lines.

They always take holiday weekends off but this Sunday's ep looks pretty intense. The gunfight scenes and explosion/special effects directors for TWD and FTWD are the best in the business.

Alycia Debnam-Carey makes $90 K per episode and she is very likely not the highest paid because some of the other actors have a lot longer resumes in the business.  Kim Dickens was probably the highest paid before she 'left'.

They sure had a lot of interviews and panels at Comic-Con. Most of them on You Tube.

The second half is back already, this Sunday ! Of course it was finished filming months ago. The extras that play the Walkers really earn their money on that show. I hope they get paid more than the standard $9/hour. Of course it's a privileged and prestigious thing to be a Walker on either TWD or FTWD so maybe that's enough....

That was a good episode ! Alycia and Alexa carried the whole hour entirely on their own and the sets were great too. One of the exec. prods. explained how they did it on Talking Dead. They used a pool used for underwater rescue training in Austin.

In the season finale the scene where they all got sick drinking the poisoned water where Martha had put anti-freeze in the bottles, not 100% anti-freeze just some unknown amount, and they learned that Ethanol (alcohol) was the antidote and started drinking the beer on hand. I wondered how accurate that scenario was.

So this morning at the field I asked Dr. Dan about it. He said that when he was an emergency room Dr., that type of poisoning was very common. He said that the victims would not get sick soon after drinking it, even a high % of anti-freeze, and would not feel like vomiting. But after several days it would cause kidney failure and that would be what would kill them. Drinking alcohol would help but intravenous alcohol was the treatment in the emergency room. He said that anti-freeze poisoning was most common in northern NM where substance abuse of all kinds is common. The poison control center would call the Emer. room and tell them that victims were coming in. The Drs. would advise them to drink Vodka on the way down to the hospital. This would help until the intravenous alcohol could be done. Whether or not they would survive depended on the individual, everyone reacts differently to that type of poisoning.

But anyway......everyone on FTWD survived and season 10 is set up with them going out to rescue as many people as possible, which would be a change from the typical scenarios in past seasons.
