Regardless of how the ad revenue controversy turns out, I suspect that some viewers will watch just to see what sort of 'train wreck' may occur with no host,  potential radical leftist speeches given by multi-millionairs, and whatever unsuspected drama and/or costume malfunction may occur.

It's probably not necessary for me to point out that The Walking Dead and Talking Dead are on for 2 hours right in the middle of the Oscars. Guess where I'll be ......

Last year my sister responded to an ad that invited people to put on their best finery and watch the Oscars from a historic and beautiful location. She went and had a great time. I wish I could have been there. But tho I'll be staying in tonight....it is my Superbowl and I will chill the wine and enjoy seeing what the movie industry chooses to honor this year. That's how I roll.

Yep, I'll be doing the same. They started the pre-Oscar show at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon. So, I've chilled my wine and about to set back and watch.

I liked the gowns this year. They were pretty colors and nothing too much was hanging out. I loved Lady Gaga singing her song "Shallow" and was glad it won the category. I liked the movie that won but was surprised that it beat out Black Panther and The Favorite which were incredibly big epics and so well done. All in all, a fun evening.

IMHO, one of the best Oscar presentations I've ever seen. I haven't seen any of the movies but I hope to see all of them before the year is out.

Just an aside but the pilot of Whisky Cavalier is showing on whatever channel you watched the Oscars. Looking really good!
