American Idol 2009 Eighth Season

Well Hollywood week is here, last night there were some goodies.....and they changed the format a little, to where the judges could vote someone out after only one audition on stage. There were some that went bye bye!!!

Can't wait for the real competition to start. I love seeing how some of them transform into stars......it is fun to see the changes each week........

Wish I could get into watching AI, Jo! I'd rather watch Biggest Loser though!

Wish I had someone to discuss AI with. There are a few of us at work that watch, so I'll just have to discuss there.........I am really happy with who has made the top 12 thus far.......the new format is strange though.....

I thought of you Berry when they showed the tryouts in Jacksonville, Florida!!!!

Ok, so nobody but me is watching this show. But I must say the remaining 9 (with the exception of Megan Joy) are really talented!!! Great entertainment if you love music of all kinds. Kris is my favorite right now......then Danny and Adam. But Matt and Scott are good, too. Sorry, but the girls just don't have it again this year.

I watch this when I can get someone to tape it. I like Adam best...he's a weird little muffin but really talented, I think.

I agree Berry, Adam is very talented.....which is why he has been on broadway in "Wicked" already.
We will see how it plays out, I not sure if he is appealing to the average "voter" of Idol. But if he plays his cards right, he will definitely be in the top three.

Well, I now predict that Adam will win. I was talking to my mom the other day, and she really likes him!!! If he is appealing to the young and old, he has it wrapped up. Kris will be a very close second, and Danny will end up in Third. that is my prediction as of today.

Still a very entertaining show, except for the really old washed up disco singers they had on last night. What were they thinking?????????? If was fun to see David Archelletta again.

Adam played Fiyero for the Los Angeles tour group. If you type in "Adam Lambert in Wicked" on google, you will see several You Tube tapings of his performances.....really wonderful stuff!!!!!!

Adam, Kris, and Matt were in the bottom three last night....a little bit of a shocker that Allison was safe over Adam and Kris. Matt went as expected.

Yes it is mean, and they do it every year.....only this year, Adam was the first one to pick a group. Others in the past have refused to pick, and David Archuletta from last season even sat down on the floor right between the two groups in protest.

Good response. And truthfully, Adam is kind of in a class by himself. The more I see him, the more I think "Entertainer of the Year" not "American Idol". I mean that I think he belongs on Broadway...or maybe Vegas. As much as he can do that rock thing, I don't think its his actual strength. Next week should be verrry interesting.

I know exactly what you mean, Berry. How popular would a CD of his be???? People want to watch and listen to Adam, not just listen. I would rather see Kris win, he is the best true Artist in the contest.

Well, it is Kris and Adam in the finals. I can't say that I'm disappointed. I think Danny was wonderful, but there can only be one American Idol. And I think America got it right. I will be happy with either of these two winning.

I think this may have doomed Adam. Because I think Danny's fans are more likely to throw their votes to Kris. Will be interesting.

Well, who ever wins, the runner up will have a record contract anyway. I also say the runner up is better off, I think the winner is "owned" by American Idol for at least a year........

Well, you called it Berry!!! I think that is exactly what happened. Although like I said before....both will do just fine....but I have to admit, it did feel like it should have been Adam tonight...even Kris was shocked and felt a little undeserving......

We started watching this last night and was very glad I didn't see previous shows. We both listened to Adam and the first thing Craig said is" What up with the nail polish?" I said, "What's up with the hair?" So Craig says, " Their not voting on that and he's got a good voice. Then we listened to Kris, of course I thought he was great...Then Adam came back... Craig said, "He's really good." (And Craig never says anybody is good. FYI, he does not like Cook.)

I said,"We really like this guy don't we?"

Craig said, "Yeah...."

I said not knowing about tonight, " Could you imagine him with Kiss?"

"He'd be perfect" And of course he was. Man, if there had just been a bic lighter in the house....


Truthfully, I'd have been very happy with a tie.

I'm happy for Kris...but Adam is the one to watch.

Yeppers, the outcome was a surprise to me. But I'm not at all upset. Both of these guys have had the doors opened wide for them now.

Wow, that was interesting to read what you and Craig thought about the show. It was definitely a great show, very entertaining from start to finish. Those stupid awards they do every year, and you really have to have watched all the shows to get some of the humor there......I did die laughing when Cara ripped her dress open......now that was funny. I guess it was for a charity, so it was worth the risk to her.....

I was happy Kris one, cause I always love an underdog!!! And Adam will do just fine...you watch......

In the end it's all about what the fans like, and what the fans will download and buy.....it is much more about how much they love your songs, then how visually entertaining you are.......
