Re: Hawaii 5-0
Good episode tonight. Got to see inside the Missouri.
there's a Navy Seal...did he kill his wife? Didn't he? Even he doesn't know. There are some cute scenes with his daughter and I just generally like the scenery.
Somebody take me to Hawaii for a vacation!

This was an interesting eppie this week. Very ingenious crooks and lots of high tech tools to take them down, but the best part was the scenes with Danno and his ex-wife. Don't think they hate each other as much as we have been led to believe. :D

Re: Hawaii 5-0
Dano's ex sure has a nice house. Did I miss something about her having a lot of money or being from a rich family? I'm sure the storyline between Dano and the ex is not over. There is a lot of nice scenery and coast line shots bewteen the scenes. I would like to visit someday. I wish they would work into the script more often Grace Park's character having to strip down to a bikini. Is two or three tiems an episode really too much to ask?

Re: Hawaii 5-0
I think Dano's ex married a rich guy. That's the way I interpreted the dialog. I was in Hawaii once, an AF "navigational training flight"....ha-ha, from CA. Took about 11 hours in a KC-97. We did the usual sightseeing things, went up the east coast of Oahu, saw the "blow-hole" , ate at a downtown Japanese restaurant that one of the sgt's. knew about. That was before the Arizona memorial had been built, but all the harbor wreckage was long gone of course. One thing I do remember was the pock marks from the machine gun bullets on the walls of the mess hall on Hickam AFB. They had left them....don't know if they are still there.
I'm sure they will have more bikini footage of Grace.....despair not.
The last "great bikini episodes" along those lines was Catherine Bell on JAG....remember her blue bikini and 'topless' scene covered with a magazine of course. Ah....aren't memories wonderful ?....
Needless to say, it's on Youtube...

Looks like they could write him in for an extended arc by having him plotting in secret somewhere for future nefarious deeds rather than the obligatory shoot-outs which usually have to be wrapped up in one episode. They could hire me for a writer, if I could move to Hawaii....

Re: Hawaii 5-0
My boy is back! Looking all cool in his funereal head-to-toe black...lighting his cigar with million dollar bills (figuratively) and getting shot...but not dead, yet again. That girl may look good in a bikini but she is a lousy shot! And he got the last scene with the new Big Bad Wo Fat. Don't think Hess is going to be doing life in prison as McGarrett seems to think he will (and isn't a trial needed before sending someone off to prison anyway?
Call me crazy but I find Hess even sexier covered in bruises and sexy wounds. Must remind me of Spike.
Oh, and the Northern Irish accent was spot on. Couldn't have been better.
Now if I could just get the kids to stop interjecting "MOM! Stop rooting for the bad guy! " everything would be perfect.

I've got to say that Marsters matured look really adds to that "bad boy" image. It just knocks me :dead:
And I have to remind myself he's a killer.

They are dying his hair black and straightening it. Not the fans favorite look, but I guess it's hard to be intimidating with curls.
Anyway, feel like Christmas came early tonight.

"That girl may look good in a bikini but she is a lousy shot!" Agreed. James will be back in future episodes. Plus the missing $10 million will come up again and they will have to find a way to replace the money or cover up their involvement.

As a side note, there hasn't been any big announcement but James and Patricia did announce that they were going to be married in the fall. Doesn't Hawaii sound like a fabulous place for a honeymoon?

Re: Hawaii 5-0
James did a good job in that role but I question that his little transmitter would have the range to set off the bomb. Those things are limited to 2 watts and they were presumably pretty far out of town....and down in a depression to boot. Also, if he had really wanted to kill Chin Ho, the transmitter would have had a 'dead man' switch, ie, when he released the red button it would have gone off, not when he pressed it. That would have prevented anyone taking a shot, and she didn't know if it was a dead man switch anyway, nor was the possibility even raised. I'm telling you....they'd better hire me as a writer before they jump the shark entirely....

Hawaii Five-O

‘Hawaii Five-0′ Losing a Cast Member?
by Molly Willow

Poor Steve McGarrett’s family members just keep dropping like coconuts.
Alex O’Loughlin’s lead character in “Hawaii Five-0”
lost his father in the pilot episode and recently learned his mother’s
death long ago was no accident. Now, it looks like his sister Mary Ann
(Taryn Manning) might not be long for the island.
The Jan. 3 episode of the CBS drama features a Mary Ann kidnapping
plot that’s wrapped up in evil gangster Wo Fat and the murder of the
McGarretts, according to TV Guide, which notes the ending is a “tearjerker.”
Mary Ann was originally scheduled to appear in the first four
episodes and return throughout the season. “The family mystery was
supposed to slowly unfold over the first season and I was going to play a
big part in that with my own Nancy Drew mission,” Manning said.

Instead, producers chose to focus more on McGarrett’s professional
life and less on his personal life, and to slow the pace of revelations
about all that family doom, which left less room for Manning.
In the first episode of the New Year, Steve visits his sister’s place
to find evidence of a struggle and discovers that Mary Ann and his
father’s clue-filled lock box are both gone.
Before the end of the episode, Mary Ann will encourage her brother to
keep looking into their parents’ deaths, but the final image, according
to Manning, is Steve experiencing “sadness over another loss.”
Manning told TV Guide that O’Loughlin “wasn’t very happy” with the
change in plans for Mary Ann. “He liked me and liked our relationship.
He felt my character was necessary to explore further aspects of his
role and was prepared to fight for me,” Manning said.
Hmm…kind of sounds like good-bye, doesn’t it?

Re: Hawaii 5-0
I just hope to see Bill Sadler again. I know, I know, he's dead. But he seems to think they shot lots more that he could be in as a "flashback". The way the plotline is going, I think its possible. Fingers crossed.
Oh, and a fan asked James Marsters' fiancee if they were married yet (they had announced for the fall) . She said that they aren't. They are waiting for her Passport/Visa issues to get resolved before making any bookings. So, there...you can stop worrying about that.

Weird to have this week's episode on Sunday after the AFC football game. Ben had no idea why I suddenly joined him in the last half of the game.
You were right, Rusty, the 10 million did come into play again. But the ending....wow! I have no idea how this is going to be explained.

The $10 million was an easy call. I'm more impress that you were able to foresee that Grace would show up in a bikini again. And it was a mighty cute one. Who knew? Someone must be covering that missing $10 million to use it as leverage against them in the future...

Finally...we get back to the investigation into Bill Sadler....I mean McGarret's fathers' assassination! We even get to see the briefest of flashback's to James Marsters...I mean Vctor Hess. The new Wo Fat guy is ding well and they've added a cute young actress (her name is Larisa Olenyk and she was in that dancing movie with Shiri Appleby) who looks like she'll be sticking around a whilte.

I would like to say that I am more interested in H5O now that I'm moving to Hawaii but in trueth I'm mostly just interested in seeing Grace Park in her bikini. Last night they did not disappoint. Not one but two bikini scenes for Grace. And... and... they do not waste a lot of material on those bikinis so it's better for the environment somehow. I also like the flyover fillers between scenes. Hawaii is certainly a gorgeous place.
