They filmed episode 13 at an abandoned "telecommunications site". We are trying to figure out how old it is. It must be pretty old because those big dish antennas were used only for communication with satellites back in the day and the present models are much smaller. Take a look at the antennas used at TV stations these days to see the difference.

Re: Walking Dead season 6
That was quite an intense episode last night. Carol and Maggie both had to step up and do things that left them 'morally shaken', for lack of a better term. On The Talking Dead, Melissa McBride (Carol) talked about how playing those scenes affected her and Lauren Cohan (Maggie). Shooting several people point blank and trapping several others in a locked room and burning them alive will do that...
Alicia Witt (Justified, The Sopranos, among other recent roles) played Paula one of the 'Saviors' who were killed. Her character lasted only about 1 1/4th episodes before being impaled on a rod and having her face bit off by a Walker. But she said that she is such a big fan that having only that short time on the show was an honor.

Re: Walking Dead season 6
With only 2 episodes left this season will Carol's disappearance be resolved ? We doubt it and it is causing quite a bit of uneasiness among the fan base. On the other hand Daryl's recovering his crossbow is reason to rejoice.
Everyone is sad that Denise died, she was a popular character, even if not one of the major ones.

Re: Walking Dead season 6
1 1/2 hour season finale next Sunday. Sounds like something terrible will happen. They never let us rest in peace during the off season.
Meanwhile, in last night's ep I'm wondering what sort of gun Carol had 'up her sleeve' literally, but the recoil would have been a factor in the 'real world' but that didn't stop her from taking out the three guys on the truck.

She has some good points but I doubt that they are a universal feeling among fans. And the true cliffhangers must wait until next weeks season finale.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan did live up to the hype of playing Negan, but I hope the writers don't give him such long winded speeches in the future. His entire 10 minutes of screen time at the end of the episode was a speech. Yes, he did kill someone at the end as expected and fans believe it was Glenn in order to agree with the graphic novels, but there is no definitive proof at this time. So we wait for season 7 as all good fans must and acknowledge that the S6 finale lived up to TWD cliffhangers.
He was on The Talking Dead and said that he was impressed by that finale scene, shot over two nights, it was freezing, two 15 hour sessions, and the whole major cast members were there. They could have had him giving his 'speech' to no one or even stand ins or even extras, but the fact that all the major cast were there in the night and freezing for 15 hours was impressive to him.

On TTD Scott Gimple said that Season 7 will introduce new story lines and take off in new directions. This could mean anything but probably the new characters seen only in the graphic novels, so far, will come in to the TV show.

These people don't seem to realize that the whole series of graphic novels, over 100 so far, map out the direction of the TV show pretty accurately, especially when someone is killed. The novels say that Glenn is killed by Negan so the 'smart money' is on that. There are some major variations from the novels but they usually involve having characters on TV that never appear in the novels. Norman Reedus playing Daryl Dixon on TV being the most famous example of this.
"
As of 2010 he stars as Daryl Dixon in the AMC television series The Walking Dead. The character was not originally in the comic book series of the same name, but was created specifically for Reedus after his audition for the character of Merle Dixon. The Walking Dead comic creator Robert Kirkman has stated he feels "absolutely blessed [Reedus] has honored the show with his presence, and the way he has come in and taken over that role and defined Daryl Dixon. A lot of Norman's portrayal of the character in the first season inspired all the writers to do what we did with him in the second season. We love writing him and end up doing cool stuff with him."
