Anytime you have a "fan favorite" selection, there is always controversy as to who is a "favorite". But it looks like they have gotten a good group this time with some really good players from past seasons and not just semi-lunatics who are there just to rile things up and p/o the viewers .

On the first tribal council they boot Ciera, the sneaky, back stabber. On the 2nd council they boot Tony the boastful, chest thumping, wild man. No surprises so far.
Caleb (Beast Mode Cowboy on Big Brother two years ago) is back again. Last time on Survivor he collapsed from exhaustion and semi-heat stroke and had to be medivaced out. How long will he last this time ?

To answer that question...not very long. He was booted on day 9 , the same day he was medivaced out last season.
Meanwhile.....Hunter King is a Survivor fan too.

She would never be cast though, too high profile of an actor presently, they do cast well know people sometimes but mainly retired athletes. Also fans would be upset at seeing her dirty and starving. But I suspect she might be up for it if they ever offered....

That was rather a surprise. Debbie was one of those 'Survivors' that skirted the edge of sanity on occasion but lately had calmed down somewhat. Her exit speech was a model of reasonableness.

That was an interesting and unusual season. Sarah deserved the win compared to the other two in the final 3, although
I would have liked to see Haley win.
This was the most unusual thing that happened at the last few comps:
Before Jeff reads the vote, Tai plays an idol for himself. Then he plays one for Aubry. Good for him, keeping is pal safe while at the same time standing up to the bully that is Brad Culpepper.
Then Sarah plays her advantage, which is immunity just for this vote. Troyzan sees how things are moving and he shrewdly plays his idol as well.
So if you're doing the math, that means Tai, Aubry, Brad, Sarah, and Troyzan are immune. Which means only one person can legitimately receive votes. And that person is Cirie. Jeff points out that this is the first time in 34 seasons that one person was voted out because there was no other choice. And the irony? Not a single vote in the urn was for Cirie (there were three for Sarah, two for Tai and one for Aubry).
Before she goes, Jeff gives her a moment, which is nice. He tells her that she's played every day with grace and it's been an honor to have her part of the Survivor family. That's sweet of Jeff, who usually doesn't have much to say when snuffing someone's torch. Shoot, that really stinks for Cirie though.
