And just FYI, I asked Ben if the military officer would "lose his career" over a DUI and he said that since it was an alcohol related incident that it would "end" his career in the sense that there would be no more promotions for him and being "passed over" for promotion twice gets you kicked out .

But you are only in zone for a promotion every couple of years (it varies) so he would have about 4 or more years to anticipate leaving the military. Really not that bad. Plenty of time to gather a nest egg. Not to be compared to being "fired" suddenly.

I think Booth should have left him hanging in the breeze. But then there would be no story, I guess.

I agree Berry.

Would have been great to see someone take responsibility for their actions besides Seeley. I really think that the producers could weave him into the series if they choose to! sunny

I noticed that the commercials that ran during the show featured two Roswell Alumni [Art teacher (Robert Clendenin) in Season #1 285 South; and Dead father (John Littlefield) in Season #2 A Roswell Christmas Carole].

Am I too obsessed with our show???

Brendan is in tonight's episode of Bones. Good to have him back.

eta his part wasn't very big...but he did look good and went a ways toward redeeming himself.

I missed the first 20 minutes but saw the rest. I thought the episode was great and really enjoyed Brendan. I didn't see any "Michael Guerin" in the part he played and that's great. I love the way he has played Jarrod and I wish they would make him a permanent cast member.

I admit it was pretty quirky.....but....Sweets can sing! Who knew?

And I'm always glad to see Brendan Fehr. So I thought he was really into playing Jarod. Would like them to make him a permenant part of the show.

Cool episode tonight. Filmed out by Vasquez Rocks looks like with the obligatory Roswell, New Mexico mention...noticed Dean Hagland (one of the Love Gunmen from Xfiles ) was in it.

Could really do without the new Angela romance...she and Hodges were much better together.

Brendon Fehr was on tonight's episode. As Booth's brother we get to see him announce that he has met the girl he plans to marry. Booth runs a background check on her and we get to see him grapple with that. I hope there will be more about that in coming episodes. Oh, yes, there was a murder too. Interesting, as usual, but the best part is the interaction between Bones and the intern. :D

I really should watch this show. Emily Deschanel is a cutie...but it's hard to work into the sched. and my tolerance for "detective style" shows is limited which is why In Plain Sight, Castle, and ...sometimes...The Mentalist, pretty well fill the bill right now.

I went online and watched it. Thought it was pretty good, but a "ray of hope" is still there. Although they probably won't "shine" it in the finale....need to keep it as a cliff-hanger. I'm wondering why Temperance would commit those language malapropisms, a la Ziva David, if English is her first language. One thing for sure....the Deschanel sisters weren't standing behind the door when the 'looks-fairy' came around... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

First things first: What was your agenda with Episode 100?
The agenda was to try to answer a lot of the questions the
audience has had for so long – like, “How did this start?” “What was
the genesis of the relationship between Booth and Brennan?” – because
obviously something occurred prior to the pilot episode. What
was it at that time that drove them apart? And at the same time, what
was it about their [initial] relationship that made them come together
again? We wanted to get a real glimpse into that relationship that we
haven’t been able to in five years. We had a lot more leeway here where
we could have them open themselves up. Because for them to be so careful
around each other, that had to happen after they had been so vulnerable
with each other.
How long has it been in your head that during that first
case, Bones and Booth had a flirtation and even kissed?
When [series creator] Hart [Hanson] and I started to talk about
it, one form or another of that dynamic was always discussed. We always
felt that there was something really personal and intimate that
happened there; we just weren’t sure how far they had gone.
Did you bat around the possibility that they slept together
back then?
We did, but we felt that would have taken them a bit too far.
It needed to be a nice balance that kept alive the sense that there is
unfinished business, that they still want to complete something they
didn’t complete on that rainy night. Brennan in all these years has
opened herself more and more to this world of intimacy and emotion, and
if [she had already slept] with Booth, it would seem like we were
retreading old ground.
So, the episode just ended and Bones and Booth are walking
across that plaza arm-in-arm. What percentage of viewers do you think
are satisfied, and what percent are frustrated?

I can only hope that they will both be frustrated and
satisfied. [Laughs] What we wanted to do was satisfy the
historical aspect of their relationship, to show the fans what happened
to bring them to this point. The frustration should still remain but be
an enjoyable frustration: “Oh my god, why didn’t Brennan just say yes?!”
Booth has put himself out there, Booth has committed….
The gambler has gambled….
And she shot him down because she doesn’t think she can do it, when we
all know she can. That frustration is what will keep the audience coming
back, to see how they overcome that – no matter long that takes.
On my second viewing, I noticed David Boreanaz fighting back
some tears in the closing scene. Were you expecting that heaviness of
emotion?
David was both directing himself and acting, so the whole thing
was a surprise – even a little bit to him and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]]. When they’re in the scene
playing that moment, emotions come up that surprised them and certainly
surprised us. I think it was very, very subtle – he didn’t really want
to cry, and I don’t think he did. Something just popped up there for a
minute, and he wipes his eye. I love how he kept it together even though
his world had come apart. It was a nice balance he struck. We were
thrilled with the job he did on that episode.
When Brennan asked if they could stay just friends, Booth
seemed almost unable to agree. Could he get to a point where he simply can’t
work alongside her?
It’s certainly possible. Booth wants to be that great guy who
is not going to quit, and certainly not in the performance of his duty,
so he feels he can really rise above it all. Whether he’s able to
ultimately succeed in that is something we’ll be exploring.
Will we see Temperance regretting her decision?
I don’t know how open she’ll be about it, but I can’t believe
that she isn’t somehow regretting it right at that moment. I think she
wishes she could be another person, that she could just be with Booth.
But this is a character issue that is very difficult for her to
overcome. It’s a real challenge for her.
Rena Sofer turns up April 22 as a marine biologist who asks
Booth out on a date. Who will be most affected by her presence – Booth
or Brennan?

It will have a subtle effect on both of them. I think it might allow
Booth to look at the world in a way he hasn’t allowed himself to look at
it in a long time. He’s a very strong guy and he does want to move on.
He doesn’t want his life stunted for all time by chasing after something
he can’t have.
And it now appears that Sweets is the one heading for a
wedding. How might his big day inform Booth and Brennan’s relationship?
[The upcoming 'Bones' wedding] will inform it a little bit, but
I can’t tell you who’s getting married, how, or when, or anything.
Hopefully that’s still in the bag!

Personal Quotes

I was in school with Ginnifer [Goodwin]; she's a couple of years
younger than I am. She's supersweet. She told me I gave her a pep talk
once, even though I can't remember it. And [Michael] Chiklis - I love [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (2002) -
he's so good. When I was in school, he came to speak to us about acting
and told this story about how he had "As You Like It" on his resume; and
a casting director asked if it were a soap opera. The casting guy said,
"ABC? NBC?" and Chiklis said, "No, Shakespeare". I'll never forget it.I'm
a vegan, but you can be really unhealthy as a vegan, too. Vegan just
means that you don't use animal products, so you don't wear leather, you
don't wear wool, and you don't eat animal products. But you can eat
french fries and stuff like that all day long.(On similarities
between her and her sister) We both tend not to pay much attention to
what's socially acceptable, and we like to do crazy stuff. We both love
to dance and will dance whenever, wherever, whether there's music
playing or not. My whole family is very sarcastic and constantly making
jokes.Everything I know about makeup, I've learned from my
sister.(discussing her food as a child) No sugar cereal. Hot dogs
with no nitrates. We weren't allowed to have McDonald's. When the

definitely a people person. I love socializing and being around people
and having a good conversation.

Personally, I was glad they didn't begin a relationship. Although I know it's inevitable, I enjoy the tension and watching them grow into a relationship and I'm glad they didn't push them into it so quickly!

Btdubs, we've still got lots more Bones before the season finale! No reruns until the season finale on May 20th! We've got a good 6 episodes left!

I thought the finale was a little lame...look, if they are so attracted to each other why do they make voluntary decisions that take them half way around the world from each other for a year? At least on Castle it was involuntary circumstances...

Also, I'm not so sure that the FBI would be so eager to have one of its agents go into a combat situation where he might be captured and interrogated about intelligence matters. Even if Booth is in the Army Reserves...

Me? Not so much. For one thing, I think they went with the generic blonde bombshell instead of someone who is interesting. It just seems more like a plot device and less like something you can really believe in...marking time, if you will.
